Saints Un-Drafted Notable Names

 

Every year the draft begins to come to a close, but that only signals the end of what is a two-party frenzy to add new players to a team’s roster.  The second part of this frenzy is making countless calls to various players with the hope of landing a few un-drafted free agents that could hopefully turn out to be a surprise by making the roster and possibly contributing eventually.  While these players usually are long shots, occasionally they do work out.  Below I have listed three un-drafted free agents that the Saints signed along with a bit of information about each.  These three are the ones who in my eyes seem to be the most likely to make the roster and eventually contribute to the team.

We really won’t know if it was a good Saints draft or a not so good draft for months or even years. The range of grades on various websites ranges from B+ to C-. I do know I was repeatedly surprised by many of the choices. I was surprised by the positions chosen (or not chosen) and by the players chosen. The Saints gambled, in some way, on nearly every player taken in this draft.
