Tebow Is Winning Me Over

Posted 01-09-2012 at 02:02 PM by saintfan

Okay, so, as an LSU homer I couldn't like Tim coming out of college. I mean, you know, he's still the enemy or something. Oh! By the way, I'm not the cheerleader on the top of the pyramid, but I'm smart enough to know what he did as a QB in college wouldn't translate to the pro game. I wasn't Tebow when Tebow wasn't cool. I never was, right? And I'm not (or wasn't) alone.

So my common lament prior to the draft was, "Just say NO to Tebow". Don't draft him. Pick him up as...

Some Interesting (to me) stats on NO, GB, and SF

Posted 01-09-2012 at 02:01 PM by mike27

Teams SF played won 115 games, teams GB played won 117 games, and teams our Saints' played won 113, so the schedules are pretty much statistically even in strength.

Interesting weirdness on same teams played. It plays to the Saints' doing poorly against teams with really bad records, for some reason, less practice perhaps, don't have to win? Whatever.

Anyway, San Francisco beat Tampa 48-3, the Saints' lost 26-20, in their first meeting, playing as if drugged, and won...

Posted 01-09-2012 at 11:41 AM by mike27

I didn't bet on either, nor do I bet anymore, but yesterday reminded me of when I used to place a wager once and a while. I liked Atlanta and the Steelers', so...

But seriously, the Steelers' kind of had the feel of the Saints' loss at Seattle last year--they were just beaten down, and injured, limping along. But Atlanta--WTF was that? Seriously?

I'm beginning to think they peaked out during the Saints' first game, when they barely lost 26-23. Maybe they just felt...

Updated 01-09-2012 at 10:11 AM by SloMotion (edited for 'Swamp People' quote accuracy)

I know what you're thinking, WTH is a Lions fan doing blogging on a Saints forum about the Forty-Niners? Well, let me tell you . . . being from the Motor City, I'm opinionated, never at a loss for words and in the unique postion of having been beaten by both New Orleans and San Francisco . . . so, without further ado, I would like to thank my hosts at Black and Gold for giving me the opportunity to write this blog and finally realize a lifelong dream of being a 'beat writer', lol.

............DYNASTY?????

Posted 01-09-2012 at 01:33 AM by SAINTstunna

If the SAINTS win SUPER BOWL 46, How many more CHAMPIONSHIPS do you think we would need to be considered a DYNASTY. I understand the challenge of actually going out there and WINNING multiple RINGS, but sometimes they make the SAINTS work extra hard to get our just DUE recognition. What do yall think???????
