In the first of a two-part article I will attempt to look at were the Saints stand in the longer term. Speed kills and speed is what this kid is all about. Teams avoid him like a plague on deep routes. He mans up against the speed burners. Dude has hands to boot. Good luck qualifying for the Olympics. 10.38 100-meter dash, placed No. 5 in the long jump...

Well, when you waste six plus years see-sawing back and forth over what kind of scheme you want to run, drafting personnel for a 4-3 and then for a 3-4 only to go back to a 4-3, you can expect these kind of results...

Firmly believe Payton the Coach would be fine with a strong GM who actually built the team, both personnel and defensive coaches, and who could veto Payton on personnel moves...

Posted 10-05-2017 at 12:08 AM by pinch

Historically, the Saints have performed decently well when coming off of a bye week. As the infographic linked below illustrates, the Saints have a winning record (3-2) when coming off a bye week over the last five years.

New Orleans Saints Bye Week Breakdown

One of the teams that dealt us a loss during that period was none other than our upcoming post-bye-week foe: the Detroit Lions. In that 2014 loss, the Lions came roaring back under the arm of Matthew Stafford...

Sanity Zone 10-2-2013 Shut Down and Loving it.

Sorry for not posting anything for a while. I'd offer half-hearted excuses, but it's only because there's been nothing inspiring to talk about. But joy is back!

As a college professor, I like to use examples of catastrophically bad decision-making as teaching tools. Examining the process and the reasons for failure teach us a great deal about how the world works, and how to identify when we might be in a similar situation. There is a side effect of also being very funny. It's easier...
