We always encourage members to join in and help. This is a free forum and website and we do not request our member donate because it can create a monarchy.
Contributing here means you contribute news and information that adds to the community. We have google banner ads at the top and on a sidebar that are no more intrusive as any other website, Saints or not.
This is a laid back place, people are involved however they want. Some use chat, some post.
Let me remind you BlackandGold.com is blackandgold.net which was around since before I can remember. The first website I knew about was this site and Sainternet, and everything else seem to come from those places.
I think if you want to help and contribute, start posting news, joining in-- you can ask your friends to join. Some of your "complaints" are preferences the members here want, but we try to do the best we can to run a fun and clean site.
I hope you join in and contribute and look forward to seeing you in action.

Ok i've figured out how to make the Forum post oldest first..

but it would be nice if the forum had Thread Display Mode: Oldest first.
Set as Default..
If other members want to do it, just go to your "User CP" Click "Edit options"> Go to Thread Display Mode area, and change the option to oldest first..

I'll make sure Halo gets this. You can private message Halo anytime with any suggestions and he'll get back to you promptly. I think he does the same sort of stuff you do and is the owner of the site.

Hey I cannot not give up either. I really think I bleed black and gold! I get so angry at them but I say ok but next week they just have to do better. And it goes the same for next week. Go figure haha. I happen to have a Saints mobile and to be not a true Saints fan I would of never did what i did to my new car. As soon as I download those pics you will see how truthful I am. If you cannot wait go to myspace and punch in Carlene Duet and you will see it for yourself but people don't ever give up on something just because they're down.

good call, ive been to most of the big name saint sites and this is the best by far. though we disagree no one ever calls anyone out or acts like a total dbag. thats all that happens on the other sites, its quite childish.

expecting others to agree with you is a waste of time anyway....im good with everyones opinion, its good for thinking outside the box....that is as long as no one likes that peanut butter that already comes with the jelly in the jar......gross!

I agree with the politics and religion. I had posted a thread congratulating Obama, as our president. Not whether or not I voted for him, just because Im an American and we need to support him. Got blasted as usual, got "negative" comments like, "I guess I'll have to watch Saints games in Canada" etc. Yep, mods do NOTHING about those. My posts, never a problem getting "reviewed". Warm and fuzzy from me or threats of banning commences. Never other negative posters or ones who post imho crude acronyms etc.

Great post. I am not a big poster on here but have been a member for several years now. This is my home for "SAINTS" news, opinion, and debate. Most of the folks on here don't even know me but I feel at home here. B&G continues to grow and get better. You said it right..we are a Saints family regardless of our other personal ties and beliefs. Lets keep it that way.

Well I am so glad to hear that from you. I too no matter what people think of our guys in Black N Gold I will always have faith in them. Yeah sure I get dissapointed in them but don't we have a right too? I love them and I have my white nissan Sentra covered in New Orleans Saints. Nicely put. They are like a strange marriage. Each person feeding of the other. For the good and the bad.
I sold those paper bags at the dome as a kid. But I never wore one. I thought it was disrespectful to the team. But a buck was a buck. Idiots spent a $1.50 on a 5 Cent bag and that included the maker and the time to make it. Looking back on it now it also tells alot about the type of fans we had then and well still do.
Booing seems to in fashion. I was brought up it was something negative you did to the refs and the opposing teams. If your team is struggling it was up to the fans to help the team as best as they could to turn things around. Cheering them to victory no matter what. Yep I sound like a RUDDY movie I know but that is what a fan is all about. The 12th man lifts the teams spirit in times of need. Booing at the drop of a hat makes wonder why these people even come to the games. Are they there out of love for the team or because having tickets is in fashion? I am going with fashion. Most will be the first let there season tickets go when the team heads south. You know those fans with a bag on their heads back then were probably better fans than most of the Boo birds we have today.

If we're going to miss kicks like that, at least let it be the rookie. It's disappointing that a seasoned vet let Martin continues to help us lose games weekly. I bet everytime someone passes him in the locker room they just want to give him a backhand.

You can tell he has a strong leg... but it's of no use if he can't kick it in between the uprights. It's time to move on... he's had more than one chance to redeem himself. I will be extremely surprised and baffled if he's still on this roster come Sunday.
