BCS

1. Texas
2. USC
3. Virginia Tech
4. Georgia
5. Alabama
6. UCLA
7. Miami
8. LSU
9. Penn State
10. Florida State

So who has a chance for a National Championship or Top 5 finish?

Hmm... Just considering the Top 10 - you gotta think there will probably be only one team from the ACC and SEC when the regular season and conference championships end. That eliminates two of the top ten from both conferences. USC plays UCLA, etc.

Should be interesting.

RE: BCS

Virginia Tech has no chance of being in the top 2 unless UT or USC loses. Championship game will be between those two teams now... even though I'd rather see VT versus USC. I think LSU will lose one more game... so I'll put UCLA and either Bama/Penn State.

Thanks for your response, papz.

I may have mis-spoke above. What I meant to say was there should be one team left in the Top 5 running from each of the ACC and SEC.

On a side note, papz - I wonder what the line is on BC-VaTech? Very interesting game there, dude.

You're probably right. I'm gonna say they would have a slim chance. If UT and USC lose butt-ugly through the rest of the season and VaTech pounds everyone - including Miami and the ACC Championship game - the Hokies could slip in. Not likely. But possible.

Alot of factors there, huh? I dunno. Just rambling, here. Food for thought.

Interesting... I forgot USC plays UCLA. That's going to be a very good game... two teams with human highlight players... Bush and Drew. With seeing that I'll have to kick UCLA out of the top 5 when the season ends. I'll revise it to...

1. USC
2. UT
3. Virginia Tech

I thought about it and can't really name a 4th and 5th anymore. The SEC is very tough... I can see Bama losing a game and with Shockley injured... I think Florida will beat Georgia this weekend. Tough call... I'm glad I'm not in charge of the BCS poll. One thing I would like to see is Joey P! ending the season in the top 5. He deserves it. Look at all those people calling for Joey P! to resign or get fired the past couple of seasons... and now they're probably all saying that they knew he could turn the program around. Yea... right.

Who do you think the top 5 will be at the end of the season? :P

On the Virginia Tech game versus BC this weekend... the spread is Tech by 14 and the high low around 46ish. I think... nevermind I know Tech will win. The only way for them to even have a chance of jumping to the 2 spot... is to maul every team left on their schedule. It's going to give them extra incentive seeing that jumping in the polls is not impossible... Texas did it. I feel sorry for BC this weekend.

Gosh. I dunno. My crystal ball's shattered and my Crazy 8 ball keeps sayin' "try again later". :D

Texas, USC, SEC team, ACC team and Penn State or Notre Dame - in no particular order.

How's that?

Gotta think the Hokies are for real. BC isn't a shabby football team.
