Cool 2007 Rivals.com Preseason All-SEC First Team

OFFENSE

QB: Andre' Woodson
Kentucky, Sr.
Boasting a strong and accurate arm, Woodson enters the season with a school record streak of 162 consecutive passes without an interception. Last season, he led the SEC with 270.4 passing yards per game and 31 touchdown passes. He threw for 3,515 yards while completing 63 percent of his attempts.

RB: Darren McFadden
Arkansas, Jr.
Last year's Heisman Trophy runner-up and Doak Walker Award recipient as the nation's top running back, McFadden has posted consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons. He rushed for 1,647 last season despite starting the year with a severely injured toe. He has exceeded 100 yards in a game 12 times in his career.

RB: Felix Jones
Arkansas, Jr.
One of the most overused quotes in sports is that a backup player "could start for any other team." In Jones' case, it's the truth. Despite playing behind McFadden, Jones was second in the SEC in '06 with 1,168 rushing yards and he averaged 7.6 yards per carry.

WR: Earl Bennett
Vanderbilt, Jr.
As a freshman he caught 79 passes for 876 yards and improved to 82 catches for 1,146 yards as a sophomore. There is no reason not to expect that upward trend to continue.

WR: Early Doucet
LSU, Sr.
A game-winning touchdown grab in the final seconds against Tennessee was one of his 59 catches a year ago. He amassed that many catches despite playing alongside two receivers that were first-round NFL draft choices. This year he will be the Tigers' top target.

TE: Jacob Tamme
Kentucky, Sr.
In 2006, Tamme led all SEC tight ends with 32 catches for 386 yards and two touchdowns.

OT: Michael Oher
Ole Miss, Jr.
Considered by many the SEC's best run blocker, Oher helped pave the way for BenJarvus Green-Ellis to rush for 1,000 yards.

OT: Chris Williams
Vanderbilt, Sr.
A starter in 21 consecutive games, Williams only allowed one quarterback sack all of last season. That sack came against Michigan in the first game of the year.

G: Will Arnold
LSU, Sr.
If not for health issues, he'd likely be named All-American. Knee and ankle injuries forced him to miss more than half of last season, yet Arnold still notched three 'pancake' blocks and 20 knockdowns.

G: Robert Felton
Arkansas, Sr.
Equally adept and run and pass blocking, he posted 57 knockdown blocks and graded out at 84 percent last season. He recorded at least five knockdown blocks in six games, and six times he graded 100 percent for pass blocking.

C: Jonathan Luigs
Arkansas, Jr.
A finalist for last year's Rimington Award, which is presented to the nation's top center, Luigs was the anchor for an offensive line that paved the way for two 1,000-yard rushers.

DEFENSE

DE: Derrick Harvey
Florida, Jr.
Although not starting every game in '06, Harvey still collected 11 sacks. He plays best in big games, which was obvious when he had three sacks against Ohio State in the national championship game.

DE: Quentin Groves
Auburn, Sr.
Posted 9 1/2 sacks in 2006 and needs just four this season to break Auburn's all-time career record of 26.

DT: Glenn Dorsey
LSU, Sr.
A returning All-American, Dorsey posted 64 tackles in 2006, including 8 1/2 for losses. He was the most dominant force for a defensive unit which ranked third in the nation.

DT: Josh Thompson
Auburn, Sr.
A very productive interior lineman, the stocky Thompson registered 44 tackles a year ago. He made 4 1/2 tackles for losses, including one sack

LB: Jerod Mayo
Tennessee, Jr.
Managed 83 tackles a year ago despite being slowed with a knee injury. He recorded three sacks in a season-opening victory over California.

LB: Jasper Brinkley
South Carolina, Sr.
A junior college transfer who played his first Division I-A season last year, he posted the second most tackles in the SEC with 207. He also had 85 solo tackles, which is the most of any returning player in the SEC.

LB: Jonathan Goff
Vanderbilt, Sr.
One of the nation's premier middle linebackers, Goff is excellent against the run and pass. Last season he posted double-digit tackle totals in three games and never had fewer than five. He also had an interception and forced two fumbles.

CB: Simeon Castille
Alabama, Sr.
A returning All-SEC selection. Last season Castille grabbed six of his 10 career interceptions. He also posted 71 tackles.

CB: Chevis Jackson
LSU, Sr.
Entering his third season as a starter, Jackson is coming off a 2006 campaign in which he posted 46 tackles and two interceptions. He also led he team with 14 passes defended.

S: Jonathan Hefney
Tennessee, Sr.
He's started every game but one of his collegiate career. Last season he posted 96 tackles, second most on the team.

S: Derek Pegues
Mississippi State, Jr.
A converted cornerback, Pegues earned second team all-conference recognition in 2006 after posting four interceptions – two of which were returned for touchdowns – and nine pass deflections.

SPECIAL TEAMS

K: Brandon Coutu
Georgia, Sr.
Though a torn hamstring caused him to miss most of the 2006 season, Coutu converted 10 of 11 field-goal attempts - including two from beyond 50 yards. He also was perfect on 17 extra point attempts.

P: Britton Colquitt
Tennessee, Jr.
As a sophomore Colquitt ranked seventh nationally with a 44.9-yard average per punt. He had 11 punts cover at least 50 yards and 18 kicks were downed inside the 20-yard line.

RET: Mikey Henderson
Georiga, Sr.
Ranked sixth nationally in 2006 with a 14.7-yard average on 25 punt returns. He returned punts for touchdowns against Tennessee and Western Kentucky.

UTIL: Percy Harvin
Florida, So.
Harvin could be a selection at running back or receiver if he specialized. But he's so effective, he can be used anywhere. As a freshman he gained 427 yards rushing, 428 yards receiving and averaged 11.4 yards for the 75 times he touched the ball. He's going to touch it more frequently this year.
