Cool Final Score: (17) Kentucky 43, (1) LSU 17 (3-OT)

Lexington, KY (Sports Network) - Andre' Woodson's seven-yard touchdown pass to Steve Johnson in the third overtime and a defensive stop by the Wildcats defense led 17th-ranked Kentucky to a 43-37 victory over No. 1 LSU.

Kentucky got the ball to start the third overtime and on a 3rd-and-goal situation, Woodson never got a play off and was penalized for a delay of game. The signal caller though didn't let the penalty affect him and on the next play he found Johnson wide open in right side of the end zone just before he was hit. The two-point conversion attempt failed as the Wildcats led 43-37.

LSU then moved the ball to the Kentucky 17-yard line and on a 4th-and-2, Charles Scott was stopped a yard short on a run up the middle by Braxton Kelley to give the Wildcats the victory as the crowd stormed the field.

Woodson ended 21-of-38 for 249 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions for the Wildcats (6-1, 2-1 SEC), who rebounded from a loss to South Carolina last Thursday.

Johnson had seven catches for 133 yards while Derrick Locke rushed for 64 yards and a score.

Matt Flynn completed 17-of-35 passes for 130 yards with a touchdown and interception for the Tigers (6-1, 3-1), who suffered their first loss of the season and will likely be bumped from their top ranking.

This was the worst LSU played all year. Offense and Defense were off all day, Matt Flynn was horrible, he over threw and under threw receivers all day. And also, Brandon Lafell needs to get that laser eye surgery Dewayne Bowe got last year, maybe it can help him like it helped Bowe because him and the rest of the receivers drop almost as many passes as they caught. As for the defense, I think Florida showed the country that as talented as our LBs and Ss are, they're not great in coverage and Kentucky exploited that area of the defense all day. DC Bo Polini needs to figure out how to defend the spread offense, we're great against traditional offenses, but the spread offense gives us fits, big time. Well, losing to Kentucky midseason shouldn't hurt our title hopes to bad, losing at the end of the season or in the SEC Championship game would have been a lot worst.
