Anyone have a knife?

this is a discussion within the College Community Forum; So that I can use it to cut out my eyes and therefore not have to watch this pathetic LSU offense? Please. P.S. Why does Jordan Jefferson make Tim Tebow look like John Elway?...

There are a lot of things I'd like seen done... but I'll post them later when I'm less intoxicated from watching that horrible debacle.

Re: Anyone have a knife?

- Since we run a spread offense, act like one. We tried over and over again to run the football to a zero degree of success. Shouldn't that tiny tiny, extremely tiny, light bulb in their heads tell them to stop running the football? Why did take 3 damn quarters for them to realize they can't cover our receivers and Jefferson was more comfortable when they opened things up? Hell, it's been like that all year... why are they so damn stubborn?

- Put your play makers on the field regardless of their class status. Where they heck was Russell Sheppard? He's an explosive player... you mean to tell me that you couldn't find any snaps for him yesterday?

- Hold players accountable. That was an absolutely torrid game played by supposedly one of the top college corner NFL prospects Patrick Peterson. Stop talking to your damn safety and pay attention to what's going on. I don't know if this is Chavis or Peterson, but why are you giving 10 yard cushions? Not only are you getting beat short, you're getting beat deep. Yank them for a play or two and let them get re-focused.

- Offensive line blew donkey balls. It's not like we didn't have enough tape on this throughout the year screaming that our run blocking is sub par. If it isn't working, try fixing it. Mercy. Get your backups prepared... give them snaps throughout the year so they can get some game experience.

- Where is the pressure? This once feared defense has turned into a bunch of ***** cats. There is TOO MUCH talent on the team... why can't we get the most out of our players? Are we playing our best DE's or are we afraid to burn red shirts? I understand players usually have to wait there turn until they get any sort of significant playing time, but it's clear Alem and Pep weren't getting the job done on the outside this year. They've been exposed as part time players playing a full time role... the same goes with Charles Alexander. Play your playmakers.

- I'd like a completely fair open competition for the starting quarterback job next year. Ideally I'd like Jefferson to win it, but if he's not going to improve his ability to make quicker reads, I'd like for Lee, Garrett, and even Shepard to have a fair chance leading this team.

There's so much more... but well... that's enough for now.

Re: Anyone have a knife?

All good points papz.

At this point Jefferson just takes waaayyy to long to make his second read. He has to improve. But I'm not sure they have another QB on the roster that is better.

I don't think that Peterson played a bad game although he did get beat a few times. More importantly is what you mentioned. Why when there is an all out blitz is Peterson playing 10 yards from the receiver then moving backwards when the ball is snapped???!!!

My big complaint: 39 seconds to play with NO timeouts and you run a WR bubble screen pass to the middle of the field! If that isn't a first down (and it wasn't) then game is over (which is was). Bad playcalling bad use of time at the end of the game.

One thing I learned from drinking. You should always go Christmas caroling with a group. Oh, and always in mid-December.

Re: Anyone have a knife?

One more key point is what you pointed out... TIME MANAGEMENT. I don't understand how we continue to win games with the poor clock management we've displayed throughout the years. Why run a play in the middle of the field like that especially considering the time that it'll burn for blockers to get in front of him. And if we don't get the first down, that's another 10 frickin' seconds... and it's not like we had many to work with in the first place! HORRIBLE LES MILES... HORRIBLE.

And what were you thinking burning that timeout when it was obvious to everyone and their mama, Steven Ridley fumbled the football. In a game where we were playing catch up and every second matters, did you not think that you would need that damn time out later? Mercy.

Thinking about it makes my blood boil! AHhhhhh!!!!
