Lineman Lowe among eight players leaving LSU

When the LSU football team begins fall practice next month, the Tigers will be without at least eight underclassmen who were on the team in the spring.


Fullback Thomas Parsons, wide receiver John Williams and offensive lineman Clay Spencer, a Parkview Baptist graduate, have taken medical scholarships.
Offensive lineman Stavion Lowe became the latest LSU player to leave the program, joining wide receiver Jhyryn Taylor, linebacker Kyle Prater, quarterback Chris Garrett and offensive lineman Cordian Hagans as players who have defected since the spring.

LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette confirmed the departure of Lowe, which comes days after Garrett announced he would transfer.

"If you go back and look through the years, I think it's just part of the natural attrition a program has," Bonnette said. "When you're talking about a football team, you're talking about a large number of athletes, so I don't think it's cause for any concern at all."

Prediction: LSU loses at least 4 games this year and Les Miles is let go by end of the season...

They have done NOTHING to improved the QB situation. Jordan Jefferson is not a big league QB. Sorry Tiger fans (I'm one). :(
