LSU lands Phillip Rivers' brother

Dandy Don?s LSU Recruiting and Sports News - LSU Football and More!

"In recruiting news, Les Miles picked up comittment number 17 Friday from Stephen Rivers (QB, 6'6", 200) from Athens, Alabama. Rivers is the brother of NFL quarterback Phillip Rivers who, in my opinion, is one of the top five NFL quarterbacks. Rivers has a very strong arm but needs some work with his release point, according to what I have been told. Rivers had scholarship offeres from Stanford, UCLA, North Carolina State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Florida State that I am aware of."

Wonder if it's going to be too little too late.

I have a lot of doubts about Jordan Jefferson and I'm concerned LSU's defensive line is going to be very weak.

Can Les Miles survive another 4 loss season? I don't think so, but let's hope for the best.

If we don't win at least 9 games this year, I think it's going to be hard for Les to keep his job with the alumni breathing down his neck. As far as the defensive line, we're finally going to see our young highly touted players play. Lots and lots of speed are coming off the edges this year... I can't wait to see what they can do.

As an Ole Miss fan, I'm hoping that he is able to stay...otherwise they may find a real coach that knows something about clock management.

Regarding Rivers...again, as an Ole Miss fan, we can only hope that his personality is comparable to his brother's. Now that the Saints have won a SB...besides a 2-dat, I can't think of anything sweeter than LSU having a QB with rabbit ears.
