LSU Jordan Jefferson Worst Option Play in All of Football

Nuff said.

Now he's holding the ball, it's sooo obvious, he either gains a yard or falls back for a loss.

LSU cannot be taken seriously with Jordan Jefferson at QB.

It's really awful. Miles should be fired if only on the basis of keeping Crowton on as OC. I feel sorry for Jefferson, but yeah, he's terrible. Just terrible.

And they continue to do it, over and over again.

It's going to take a loss and a few pick 6's from Jefferson before Miles will let go of the fact that he is NOT a division I QB.

Plain and simple, Jordan Jefferson is NOT division 1 quarterback material.

The stands were emptying in the 4th quarter because it was so boring.

its so painful to watch a team i've been a fan for over forty years. i know this team is 4-0 but its how miles runs the ship. why not run a 2 qb system its what we need when ones bad the other might click. he does it with ever other position rbs wrs, why not qbs. the discouragement is we won;t compete with florida, alabama, ark. well for a half till the defense tires . thats whats so painful. give it to wv they had jeffersons no#.

And, what was the point of bringing in Lee for one series, and then going right back to Jefferson the very next set of downs?! That made zero sense to me. But then again, so does continuing to run the option w/ JJ, if that's what you call it.

LSU has re-defined winning ugly this year.

SapperSaint 09-28-2010 08:12 AM

This is not "LSU FOOTBALL" IMO!

I have tried to understand Les' reasoning for staying with Jordan, but I just can't do it! I agree with the comment about bringing in Jarrett for only one set of downs.....WTH was that all about?!? Yes, it was a three and out, but let him get into the groove of the game LES!

I will admit I am a Tiger Fan before I am a Saints fan. But LSU being 4-0 and seeing the play on the field makes me mader than the Saints losing last Sunday. That being said, The defense, I'm happy. The offense....I'm about ready to pull my brains out through my anus!

We just want Jarrett Lee to get a fair shake. What's the worst thing that could happen? Lee putting up Jefferson numbers? Let the man get at least a quarter to show what he can do... if he blows, put Jefferson back in. I don't understand why Miles is so damn stubborn.

Papz, that is the question all LSU fans are asking.

Not to hijack this thread but, I was a Les Miles defender and fan UNTIL the Ole Miss game last year...

After that, I saw another side of him I don't like nor will I ever like. I don't think I'm the only one.

I second guess him early and often now.

Gary called and thanked Coach Miles for sticking with Jordan Jefferson and predicted that Jefferson will lead LSU to wins over Florida and Alabama.
I'd like to punch Gary in the face.

A few comments on Coach Miles and his statements. I know that Miles is very happy at LSU and is trying very hard to turn the offense around. Miles said that LSU is doing a great job recruiting quarterbacks this year who are big-time college prospects. After the 2008 season, Miles replaced his co-defensive coordinators because they were not getting the job done. I personally believe Miles will do the same thing on the offensive side of the ball, if needed, after this season is over. For now, I think we should all enjoy the fact that the team is undefeated and continue to support out Tigers.

The problem I see with the playcalling is that you have two coaches trying to call two different offensive schemes. That was fine and dandy when we were still running Jimbo Fisher's scheme (which actually included the first year under the current OC - Crowton did not actually implement his offense until the following season) is because it melded well with Les Miles. The option, on the other hand, is a completely different story. It's a bit of a cliché, but if you're going to run the option you have to commit to the option.

Yeah, the offense will improve if they fire Crowton. It would also most likely improve if they kept him and got rid of Miles imo. The more likely conclusion is that they will both get fired.
