LSU Football Scrimmages for Second Time
BATON ROUGE - The LSU offense combined for 420 total yards and the defense came up with a variety of big plays as the Tigers broke camp with its second full scale scrimmage here indoors at the Charles McClendon Practice Facility.
LSU will take tomorrow off and then return to practice on Saturday when they will turn their attention to the season-opener against Oregon. The Tigers will have an abbreviated workout on Sunday that will focus mainly on special teams. Classes start on the LSU campus on Monday.
"We had an extended go and I thought we had a number of guys that had big days," LSU coach Les Miles said following the scrimmage. "Offensively, I thought we threw it pretty well and did a nice job of running the football. Defensively, we made some big plays especially from the line, which I thought did very well.
