Bama wins SEC Title game

... and all the LSU fans surrounding me are totally indignant. Funny, if it had been LSU / Georgia I'd have been pulling for the Tigers, but that's very apparently not a shared sentiment!

We the devil, I guess ... RTR!

LSU beat Bama's arse for many years until Saban got there. When we marched to the BCS and won in 2003, I NEVER had one (1) single Bama co-worker congratulate me or LSU. Same thing in 2007. In fact, Bama co-workers at my former employer talked so much smack it was embarrassing.

Congrats to Bama... I seriously enjoyed the game.

But what did you expect, LSU fans to kiss you on the cheek? I mean, not only are we Conference rivals, we're inter-divisional rivals, and football rivals long before Bear Bryant and Charlie McClendon.

Yeah I remember a Bama fan at my job seemed like he wanted to fight over my having the nads to predict an LSU win back in the day. Rather than knock his dumbass out and get fired over a football game, I betted him 50. He never paid me or spoke to me again.

Well, that would be a good start. Then maybe some chocolates and a foot-massage, and we'll see where it goes from there ... :)

, not that I got a dog-in-the-fight, just thought the comment was funny coming from that skull with the cigarette.

It was a good game ... when Ogletree ran that blocked punt in, I thought Georgia might just pull this one out, they certainly had the momentum at that point. Second half, Sabin punishes them with the run and gets his team back in the game ... can't help but feel there's a lesson to be learned there, eh? Some last second heroics by Georgia might have changed that, but it was not to be.

I'm worried about our QB AJ McCarron. He's looked mostly bad for the last 3 games. The TD he threw to Cooper was flawless but the rest of the game he looked aweful. He's always been hot and cold but lately he just looks cold.

You don't think he looked good beating Western Carolina & Auburn both 49-0? I didn't see either game, so I'm just assuming by the score he had pretty good games.

They're 3-1 in the games I saw (Mich, LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia) and with the exception of the Michigan game, I'm too much in awe of the SEC in general to really focus on the QB,.

There were certainly plays against Georgia when McCarron held the ball far too long. Sometimes he looks indecisive, scared even. Good thing we've got a month to work out the kinks ... of course, ND has an extra week.

I think now that bama has made the big game, the pressure will be less on him and he'll get back to norm.
