That was the best college game I have seen this year.

Didn't' agree with the damn near 60 yard fg attempt by Bama at the end though.

I just laughed and laughed and laughed as the Auburn player ran down the sideline 109 yards.

Could not happen to a nicer football program, fanbase and head coach.

Nick Saban was a moron in the 4th quarter.

But we'll never hear the media question his decisions, will we? It will only be about how his players failed him.

In fact, Nick has already gone on record throwing players under the bus in his press conference.

Stay classy, Nicky boy.

Re: Bama Loses Finally

I saw parts of that presser SaintSproles. I couldn't believe what I was watching. Just like you said, Saban was blaming everybody on his team, and taking ZERO responsibility himself. If he would have kicked a field goal instead of going for it on 4th and 1 earlier in the quarter, he would have won easily. What dumbass goes for it on 4th and one while only leading by 7, sitting on the 20 yard line, with 8 minutes left in the game. I yelling to my Father in Law that Sabin is about to screw up. Kick the damn field goal and go up by two scores. But no, Satan went for it. And with that one play, blew his teams chances of a third National Title in 3 years. What a dumbass. Then he's going to come out and blame his team. What a loser. I literally had chill bumps watching that last play develop. I have never seen anything like that...ever.

Agreed, I thought I was in college football heaven, not because 'Bama lost, but with some of the matchups yesterday. Guess Florida State moves up to No. 1 and Ohio State/Alabama fall back behind Auburn? ... you know, the usual rankings mess,.

IDK WTH was in the sideline water coolers yesterday though, Michigan lost by trying a 2-point conversion at the end instead of kicking the x-tra point and taking it into overtime ... these college guys sure are 'risk-takers',.

The sooner it moves to a playoff system the better.Four team playoff isnt enough either.

true, but 8 is plenty
right now, if you are number 3, you have a legitimate complaint
if you are number 9, you should have played better

Typical response from a sore loser LSU fan. You certainly represent your school well. I'm so damn glad I'm not an LSU fan. You guys are classless hacks. People like you are the reason LSU fans have the reputation they do. If you can't beat 'em, make fun of 'em when someone else does.

LSU Tiger fans = Atlanta Falcon fans

Now scoot on back to SR, I see your temporary ban has passed.

Probably right... There will always be some team that will feel slighted. And with all of the bowls that need to be satisfied now, 16 teams is about the right number.

And Alabama fans = 40whiner fans. Always think they will win and spit out excuses when they don't. :).

Well that's unfair.

You might not like what he said, but he made some valid points. That 4th quarter was terrible and how the Bama fans are attacking their own players is way more tacky wouldn't you say?

The game was very entertaining. I agree with others have said. That last return alone made it the game of the year.

Re: Bama Loses Finally

Well, I'm an LSU fan - not a rabid one, but still.

All I know is Hollywood couldn't have scripted a more miraculous ending to a football game, and I really thought Saban was crazy not to try that FG with 7 or 8 minutes left in the game. I know his kicker had his troubles, but still you have to give him another shot from (relatively) close range.

And what was funny was how Alabama was desperate to get that final second put back on the clock, and it ultimately came back to bite them.

It was like Sid Bream limping home on double-knee braces beating the throw from Barry Bonds. I just sat there with my mouth wide open. I could not believe how that game ended. I won't forget it for a long time, in part because I wanted to see Saban lose, and I'm not even sure why.

The biggest problem with the result of the Alabama - Auburn game is we probably get to watch a Florida State - Ohio State national championship. Considering the strength of the conferences they play in, a championship tournament, of any kind, is coming a year too late.

Re: Bama Loses Finally

I would have liked to have seen a Florida St. vs. Alabama matchup. I don't think Florida St. would win, but it would be fun to see what Winston and the ultra athletic Seminoles try to tackle on the physical style of play of Bama.

Screw Urban Meyer and his crappy schedule.

Regardless of what Ohio State does today, the SEC winner should jump them in the polls. And I don't even like the SEC.

O ye of little faith ... I know we were posting in here somewhere that MSU was gonna' get the job done,. Admitting, confirmed Wolverine fan and just a Sparty for the day, but it's been so long since anyone from MI has smelled them roses, anytime Ohio loses it's a good day,. Pasadena, here we come!

(10) MI ST - 34
(2) OSU - 24

Yep, Auburn goes to the National Championship game & OSU has egg on their face after last night's loss (which I expected).

Best part of the game was the end when they flashed to Urban Meyer ... the look of defeat on his face said it all, :). It was a great game to watch though, in fact, the past two weeks of college football had some outstanding games.

Auburn deserves to be in that game all the way and had Ohio somehow won that game and went to the N/C, I would have boycotted that game. As much as it pains me to say as a BigTen fan, SEC football is king.

Yep, gotta' stick together these dark days, that's for sure, ... but I'm not proud when it comes to college ball (much) ... I'll ride that Sparty bandwagon if it's going to the Rose Bowl, ;) ... coach, not business class.
