btw, The Houston Aeros are fighting for first place in the old AHL, Hulka.

The AHL actually has some real hockey history going. Their Peoria, Milwaukee, and Rockford teams particularly are a big deal, and they all
function as farm teams for the NHL. The Aeros are Minnesota's farm team.

There are guys in the midwest who really get into it, and I think there's a lot of old time loyalty-- just part of the whole Northern organ-playing, moose-hall-going auditorium culture. Think of John Candy in his spare time. Or Bob & Doug Mackenzie. I think its cool.

As usual, the Houston sports fans are pathetic *-- a city of 4 million people cant fill an arena for a real winner, with boys who play their hearts out. One of our guys, Patrick O' Sullivan, by himself is worth the ticket, while here's here on a rehab assignment from Minn.

*this is why, when the Saints come to Reliant, we OWN the stadium.
