I think I must be missing something. I know it is reported that we got Osama, but do we have proof. This was the first thing that went through my mind and then I read that he was buried at sea within the 1st 24 hours to satisfy the Muslims and their beliefs. Who the **** cares about what they believe? I would have really liked to see the proof. Am I the only one who is skeptical?

If somebody has something with more proof other than what I have read please let me know so I can satisfy myself in knowing that he really is dead and not just reported. The burial at sea thing sounded awful "fishy" to me...pardon the pun, please.

I understand where you're coming from LB. The same thing has crossed my mind a bunch of times this morning. It is however the re-election season. I would like to think that Obama wouldn't risk all the retaliation that we're about to see around the world with propoganda of this magnitude, just so he can improve his chances of getting re-elected.

Just let me say that I did find the timing to be remarkable when you consider that the election sparring has recently been thrown to the front. We had a thread going just a day or two before this that relates to political posturing and such...and all the sudden this. You have to admit that it is indeed great timing for Obama...just as 911 was tremendous timing for GW.

The politicians don't seem to mind the war and bloodshed as some of them have interests in things that could actually cause them to profit if we were at war.

If you don't think I would be happy if this were true then you are smoking something. My question is "are you sure?" That is all. I want to see proof. Show me proof and I will shut up. That is all I am asking for because trying to find the proof from the media has failed for me so far. The only thing I can find is that he was "buried at sea."

If you trust everybody no questions asked that is you. I may be in a very small minority here but there are those who believe only what they see and not what they are told.

I'm honestly quite skeptical on the matter also. Supposely the body will be offered back to Saudi Arabia first... I'd like to see confirmation myself. Hell for all we know it could be a big ass conspiracy to get Bin Laden to come from underground.

I don't think that throwing an election back into someone's favor would be a stupid reason to fake something like this.

I am not saying that is what is happening here. If he really did "get him", then many kudos to him. You would think that he would not want to leave any room for doubt...that's all I am saying.

I actually am an Obama supporter...when I was given the alternatives I was given...but nobody gets a free-pass from me. To be able to accomplish something that would greatly benefit him and not save the proof is a blunder, IMO.

If everything is true that we have been told about these "terrorist"...then I don't think this will affect the way they operate one bit. Even before this we have been executing excruciating security measures at airports and such to protect ourselves. I don't see how the security measures could have gotten any stricter.

All I am trying to say is that they would do whatever they could get away with even before this happened...if everything we are told about them is accurate. Thank God for our people who put their safety on the line every day to help keep us secure.

Hell yes they knew. The Pakisanies have thrown up road blocks every chance they got to stop us from doing this. I agree Strat on the federal aid. That would be my first budget cut. Cut all aid to every country that hates us and double the aid to Isreal and tear up all the START treaties we've signed.
