The media? Everyone assumes racism immediately. Why? Did the person that threw the banana peel yell "Up yours ******!" (a Blazing Saddles reference) when he threw the peel? Did he wave a sign showing his hatred towards a people?

Or did some dopey fan throw the remains of his snack on the ice when he finished it?

To assume racism without more of the story is dangerous.

This has happened a couple of times in european soccer mostly in the spanish leauge and always aimed towards black players with parts of the crowds making monkey like sounds. Sadly I think that is where tis idiot got his inspiration.
