Power Rankings..

LOL...watch the gay remarks...we might offend other members..dont post if you cant help yourself...I just think its weird to see 3 NFC teams on top..

Let's forget about the decision made by Atlanta Falcons Coach Mike Smith, if we can. Instead, let's concentrate on where the New Orleans Saints are at the moment -- sitting in first place in the NFC South with a 1 1/2 game lead heading into their bye week.
While the Saints aren't totally comfortable following their 26-23 overtime win, they certainly took control of the division and kept themselves relevant in the conference with the big win.
Since a mind-boggling loss to the St. Louis Rams, the Saints have pulled off big wins against two divisional foes -- Tampa Bay and Atlanta.
In doing so, they showed they are one of the NFL's top teams and have moved up three spots to No. 3 in the latest NFL power rankings by The Times-Picayune.
The Green Bay Packers remain No. 1, followed by the San Francisco 49ers. The Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 4) and New England Patriots (No. 5) are the top ranked teams from the AFC.
Here are the rankings:

What the f*ck are you talking about?

xan 11-15-2011 10:53 AM

Are you talking to me?

You DO realize, nearly every word in the English language has multiple meanings. I hope that you aren't stifling freedom of expression because of ignorance or lack of humor.

Besides, totally gay. Don't click on the link to avoid being derided mercilessly. (But please do, it is so much more fun.)

You read it...the gay remarks are not needed..just keep those to yourself..we don't need to have that here..you dont know if we have people who are offended by that or not..so just to be safe keep it to posting about the rankings...makes us all look smarter..:)

SaintPauly 11-15-2011 11:25 AM

saintfan 11-15-2011 11:54 AM

strato 11-15-2011 11:56 AM

LOl..ok whatever ..y'all can have fun with it ..i don't care...

Mardigras9 11-15-2011 02:17 PM

But seriously, San Fran is looking better each week and they definitely have a running back. Maybe Sean should slap the Lions coach after we beat them to fire the team up?

SaintPauly 11-15-2011 03:07 PM

Gore is getting nicked up pretty bad though.... His back up is descent, but not elite.... Without a passing game, Gore could wind up on IR before the end of the regular season... He's no spring chicken...

Well that backfired strato...

The Giants should be #4. That team has impressed me a lot. They lost a lot of players to IR and have still been strong.

Seahawks should be up there too. Any team that can beat the awesome Saints, the Giants in New York, and the Ravens should be awarded with a high, albeit ghaey, power ranking.

Why power ranking are considered gay is crazy.. its opinions...that's all...we should be honored that people think enough of our team to have us where we are... If opinions are are gay then this board is a gay pride rally...

Well, if we can't make Gay remarks, I'm glad we released Randall Gay. That would have really been awkward.

Euphoria 11-16-2011 10:08 AM

What makes a team better than another team is who beat who, and W/L record.

Not where you are ranked in a Power Bottom Ranking.

All of us have made stupid dumb ass prejudice remarks before. I know that at some point I will do it again.

Here is the thing I am not gay BUT I dont care if you are. That being said. I would not refer to anyone who is black by a derogatory name SO why should I refer to someone who is a homosexual by a derogatory name.

I am not an amazingly PC person - BUT I do try to avoid insulting people directly or indriectly, when I can help it. None of us are perfect but the whole "ghey" thing is kindof stupid & more than a little immature.

Their have got to be better/other words we can use to get our points across!! (i know - this statement make me "gay")

What about the offense of those with sub 100 IQs with the term "Stupid"? Is it more acceptable to say 'kind of stupid' than it is to say "kind of ghey'? There are just as many (I'm sure there are a lot more in fact) stupid people (by definition) than there are gay people.

This is a slippery slope. I suggest that people participating on an internet forum
grow some thick skin and a spine rather than start policing everyone's speech.

Now wait just a minute. When did the word gay become a derogatory remark? I thought gay people wanted to be called gay. If you
are calling someone who's not gay gay, then I can see it as derogatory, but I thought it was proper to call gay people gay. Am I wrong? Did I miss something? Saintfan, you live in, or near San Francisco. Don't they celebrate Gay Pride day out there? (I'm not incinuating that you're an expert by the way) Is that derogatory? If so, I say that celebration needs to end immediately. Maybe I'm seeing this whole thing all wrong. One thing I do know, I've already spent way too much time on the subject than I really wanted to spend.

Euphoria 11-16-2011 03:55 PM

I have gay friends and they call things power rankings gay to.

Plus I don't care... I am not running for public office.

Every day is gay pride day out here. I recently witnessed a gay guy riding his bicycle naked...glad my kids weren't around...but that's why I rarely bring them into the city - and that's a stab and San Francisco in general, not gay people, because straight people ride naked too with Police escorts. Oh yes. It's twoo, it's twoo. Anybody riding a bicycle naked down the street is either (a) an idiot or (b) stoned or (c) a stoned idiot. But I digress...

I got called a cracker today. I just laughed, nodded, and said "Yeah, you're right", and took another bite of my sandwich. People need to friggin relax man.
