IDK what it'll do for football, but the poached fish recipe in the article is dead on ... the freshwater drum up here are called 'sheephead' and nobody keeps 'em ... I didn't either until an old chinese woman fishing off a dock told me how to cook 'em like that ... true story.

The first time I caught what is called a sheephead was in a canal in Mississippi. Damn thing nearly pulled me into the water. I can remember (I was young) being scared because nothing I'd ever caught fought like that.

Then, when we pulled it out of the water, the damn thing had teeth on it like a squirrel. I just KNEW I'd caught something pre-historic.

Paw Paw just laughed and said, "no, that's a sheephead". Trash. We tossed him back into the abyss. I still have nightmares.

Yep, they definitely are 'fighters' ..... every once in awhile I have a 'sheephead/carp' day where I go out looking for the really big ones ..... I wonder if ol' Zoey Deschanel fishes? ..... she looks like she's the type ..... might have to ask her out on the boat sometime .....
