Swamp People

I love this show. zi cannot always find it or get to watch it. It is the Hist channel of all channels. I forget.
Tonight's show...
Kristi Broussard and Liz , who has her deceased father's lines, got a 1000 lb'der.
Mr. Landry and his two big boys and the friend ,Clint, is trying to find the godfather, a big ole dark gator that has been around some people's swamp camps for a few years now.
I don't need subtitles to understsand Mr. Landry as none of us here would. LOL. That cracks me. Subtitles. I can understand every dem, dosz, ch'hear, shoot'um, knok'um ou, and stuff.

There is the shrimper's show too, but I don't always get to see it. I love these, or desz sho's.

Yeah, last night was a great episode to start the new season.

You forgot to mention that R.J. nearly got his face bitten by a gator when he nearly fell out the boat, then later he almost got his finger bitten off. And all this was on the 1st day of the season!

I like dem sho's too!

QBREES9 02-10-2012 11:37 PM

Dam I missed it last night !

Nemesis 02-11-2012 04:52 AM

Hey Ive just received my gator patties and boudin delivered on dry ice today, as a matter of fact. Yummy. Inspired by the show. Dont know if I wanna watch it again though...

SloMotion 02-11-2012 07:22 AM

Oh yeah, the season premier, wouldn't of missed it for the world ... I like how History Channel replays the previous seasons all day too ... didn't think Liz and her partner were gonna' get that big one in the boat and thought for sure they'd be hollering for Troy ... I was glad to see Clint back ... I'm looking forward to the season, :)

"You call me Elizabeth one more time, I'm gonna freakin' whoop your butt!" - Liz & Troy

... saw the previews for Thursday's show ... Liz & her new partner (Kristi) were chasing gators (?) neck deep, walking in the swamp ... you know how shows lose their flavour after the first season or so? Not this one ...

QBREES9 02-15-2012 10:46 PM

Oh man I can't wait I Love that show !

Beastmode 02-16-2012 04:10 AM

I'm living in Pa and I was shocked when my neighbors said how much they liked the show. Haven't seen it yet but they need to do an episode on how to catch crawfish. My neighbor said he can show me where they are under rocks. I told him how in La we use nets in ditches and he looked at me like I was crazy.

QBREES9 02-16-2012 10:55 PM

It was a good one tonight.

SloMotion 02-17-2012 05:44 AM

It was 'risk-taker' night on this episode ... everybody was getting out of their boats, Willy kills a gator with a pocket knife, Troy's jumping levees with his boat, Liz & Kristi are wading neck deep in a canal looking for a gator ... they sure do know how to keep the viewer's attention.

SloMotion 03-02-2012 10:50 AM

Following up on the 'jumping a levee' thing ... you can get in trouble for that up here, circumventing a natural/manmade barrier (don't ask how I know), but is it Ok in Louisiana? I was thinking with the importance of the levee system, they may have filmed Troy in an illegal act and possibly gotten him a fine or something.

Anyone?

SapperSaint 03-02-2012 12:55 PM

Those levees are usually under water. I don't think it is a big deal, or he wouldn't have let them film it.

This is the best show on TV. I hope they are going to put the Guist Brothers back on there. I love those guys.

My youngest daughter loves Willey!

SloMotion 03-02-2012 03:46 PM

Yeah, as much as I like Troy, when Willy killed that gator with a knife, he got my vote. The Guist Brothers are listed on the cast for this season, so they should be on now & again.

I wonder what happened to Mike Kliebert and his son, I liked him and his people.

QBREES9 03-03-2012 08:29 PM

Willy is very cool.

Re: Swamp People

Apologize for raising a dead thread, but this is important, ... I'm looking for a pair of white shrimper boots similiar to what Joe LaFont wears on Swamp People ... white, mid-calf with a larger opening at the top of the calf so they slip on/off easier. The ones I find around here are more of a deck style and too tight on my calves. Norcross has 'em online, but not like Joe's.

Are they in the local stores around the Gulf? Any help is appreciated, brand, style, et....

Also know as Delcambre Reeboks, you can buy them at gas stations in some of the small coastal towns. They are white shrimpers boots.

I watch it over here in the UK aswell.
Great show,I don't see the need for the subtitles personally.Just listen to what people say and you'll soon catch the accent. Its the same here though, people in the south need help with some scouse(liverpool) or string Scottish/Northern Irish accents.
