Excellent read, and just further illustrates why anyone who supports giving politicians even more power is part of the problem.

I suppose Mayor Menino attempts to block the construction of churches who refuse to "open up their policies" on homosexuality? Aww heck, there probably aren't any Catholic churches in Boston!
For craps sake, they sell chicken sandwiches. WTF it has to do with anyone's sexual preference is lost on me. |

... I guess I could understand his position if Chick-fil-A was refusing to serve the gay community, but come on, their waffle fries are fricken' awesome!

We need more Cathy's and less Menino's. BTW: Their waffle fries dipped in their Chick-fil-a sauce is to die for. |

Some clarification here guys... CFA is hated in the gay community. CFA is a privately held business that can do what they want, and one of the charities they run (not contribute to, run) is a faith based group that is very outspoken against gay marriage.
Boston, Chicago, actor Ed Helms, and Jim Henson, Inc. all are protesting. As for CFA day this week, that is Huckabee's idea in response to a weeklong boycott by a gay/lesbian activist group. Bottom line- if you are in business, your actions and comments dictate who your customers are. If CFA can afford to have significantly fewer customers bc of public statements, more power to them |
