Don't see Tyreese being the next Andrea. I thought they were trying to make her character the voice of reason, but, it never panned out. Maybe that's what they have in mind for him.

Re: The Walking Dead thread RESURRECTED!

I was thinking the same thing, "why not just move into Woodbury?". It's defensible, more comfortable, et... I suppose it's for security reasons, the prison is more defensible & I have to expect the Governor to be making another appearance down the road. In all these post-apocalypse type movies/books, there's always the one major bad-guy who becomes 'king-of-the-bad-guys' and forms a 'bad-guy' army. That's what the Gov. is doing now, recruiting. I see him evolving into a kind of a 'ToeCutter/Lord Humungus character from the Mad Max movies.

I'm not looking forward to next season so much and watching them form a new life in the prison with all those new mouths to feed & house. If the series is gonna' turn into some kind of social commentary, I'm out. I don't think I could handle a domesticated 'Darryl', I saw a little bit of him on 'Talking Dead' and he's just not the same person without the dirt on his face & the crossbow, .

Glad to see Andrea go also, her character was certainly the most logical to knock off next from the main group.
Surprised they left the Governor character in limbo, expected him to meet his end.
Definitely a WTF moment with making the prison a community center, how are they gonna manage all those people.
Carl is turning into a little Psycho, was I crazy or did his gun actually have a silencer on it?
Overall the Season Finale gets a C, IMO.

.
Definitely not crazy. I noticed that about his gun when they were clearing the prison yard in the first episode of season 3.

Why one of the two guys the Gov. didn't slaughter didn't pop him while he had his back turned is beyond me.

Allen could have easily done that before the governor shot him also.

I would have gone back to the prison also though. Rick knows the prison better and when the Gov. comes back you don't want to deal with him knowing your defenses (if back at Woodbury) better than you do.

I honestly thought Martinez was going to do it after the Gov. gunned everyone down. He was standing there with a stunned look on his face and he had the perfect opportunity. He's gotta' be thinking never to turn his back on the Gov. and planning an exit strategy. 'Marty' can't be deep-down evil as the Gov. is & has to wind up back with the prison group.

So my son calls me like 5x while I'm at work. I call him back, and he snidely informs me that he was at Atlanta DMV and Daryl would've chatted with me.. I saw Boondock Saints and still couldn't place him for some reason

As depressing as that may sound, American fans of The Walking Dead have more to look forward to over Independence Day weekend than just barbecues and the inevitable minor burns from cheap fireworks. AMC has announced that it will broadcast the entire current run of the zombie drama starting 1 p.m. Eastern/Pacific on July 4th.

According to a press release distributed by AMC, the network plans to show all three completed seasons of The Walking Dead in a multi-day marathon from July 4th to the 7th. Featuring inter-episode segments hosted by nerd icon/Comic Book Men producer Kevin Smith (Clerks 3), the marathon will not only show all the episodes of the series, but will also premiere interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from the set of The Walking Dead season 4.

Spread over four days, AMC’s special broadcast of the series will begin with two showings of season 1 on July 4th – one in color and a follow-up in black-and-white. Season 2 will be shown in its entirety over July 5th, and all but the final five episodes of season 3 will air July 6th. On July 7th, AMC will wrap up The Walking Dead’s (fairly crazy) third season.

While it’s obvious that the marathon of The Walking Dead is intended to drum up interest in the upcoming fourth season of the series, it’s also a savvy programming move. Like many holiday weekends, Independence Day is often considered a write-off for networks – a time when whole swaths of the population are expected to be outside and/or enjoying other summertime pursuits.

By scheduling almost the entirety of the period with a single program, AMC not only heightens awareness of their premier series with drop-in viewers, but also gives an enticing reason for existing fans to take some time out to watch their favorite episodes – all while helping to maintain ratings.

Of course, none of this will mean a thing to our non-American readers. At the very least, you can look forward to the marathon’s behind-the-scenes segments to make their way online – either officially or through diligent viewers and their DVRs.

The Walking Dead will claw its way back for season 4 in the fall of 2013.
