this is a discussion within the Everything Else Community Forum; I was just about to reply... "You started with 2, now you have 12"... Not exactly the sort of insight you expected?...

Oh no. That's not it at all. I started out with two, only now, thanks to this thread, my heart is set on "The Mystery Mobile", and I'm afraid nothing else is going to do...

You can never go wrong with this.

I know you are concerned about cost, doors, efficiency, etc... Are you not you going to be SINGLE also?

This will be a lot cheaper than strip clubs.

If you should decide to go this way, w/o the navigation and sunroof, you can get one for about 23k out the door. Just so you have a price point.

Yep. Was just looking at those. And then I found a 2009 Passat, Cobolt Blue with 47k on it for under 15k and my heart stopped...

if you plan on working on it yourself, have fun - buy bandaids and all the special vw tools and brush up on your swearing. dumb crap breaks on them routinely - really only argument i have. (i.e. ac compressor at 10k miles, alternator at 25k, both FWD cv axles by 40k...total bs IMO. dad had one when i was in high school, i hated that car after about 2 years.).

I know. Therein lies the drama. People love them...or they hate them. They are "very reliable" or "they suck". Color me confused...still...
