This is my next one. It arrived today! Finally! We all know Paul McCartney was the engine that made the Beatles go. This is supposed to be a very good bio - endorsed by Paul, so here goes...

Good read for anyone especially Rockers.
Kiss and Make Up Gene Simmons Paperback Book New 0099436140 | eBay

Most know him for his tongue.... Or as the Demon..

Gene Simmons was born in Israel in 1949; eight years later he arrived in New York City, broke and unable to speak a word of English. His mother survived Nazi Concentration Camps.

He is an example of drive and marketing genius.

He really is brilliant. So funny, really, to see him on his TV show, which is really when I began to see what a truly interesting person he is, outside of being "The Demon".

Re: What Are You Reading?

Just finished Robopocalypse (Daniel H. Wilson).
Cool book. Similar to Terminator in how robots overtake humans, but in much greater and much more interesting detail.

About to start the rest of Koontz' Odd Thomas books. I read the 1st three and they were great.

Waiting for Greg Isles new book to come out. Everything he's ever written was an A-plus read in my opinion.

Agree with you about Isles. Similiar to Isles, I have also liked the James Rollins Sigma series, Lee Child's Reacher series, a few Tess Gerritsens.

I'll "try" to set up a Social group to talk and share all about books for the Black and Gold readers in here, kind of surprised we don't have one already.

Glad someone else notices Iles work.

Its as fascinating as any murder mystery author I've ever read. Blood Memory and Turning angel were masterpieces.

He makes James Patterson and John Grisham look like middle schoolers.

And for the WWII buffs, his Spandaux Phonex and Black Cross books were incredible. I was never a WWII buff until I read his works, incredible.

Note: He stopped writing about WWII because too often talented writers get pigeonholed and he didn't want his other work to suffer because of his fascination with WWII.

Re: What Are You Reading?

I liked his murder mystery books better like the Devils Punchbowl, Sleep No More, and True Evil. Isles has just recently signed a deal to write a new trilogy of murder mysteries also due out in 2014.
