Re: Little leaguers stripped of title.
This is nothing new and goes on everywhere in pretty much every kid's league ... and the kids do know who belongs on a team or not. I saw plenty of this when my kids were growing up playing sports and it's really a shame when you see some of the teams in some of these leagues trying to stack the deck. Same thing goes on with education, parents provide fake credentials to get their kids in better schools, et ... nothing new.
Teams from the US, Philippines, China, Dominican, et... all have been disqualified for the same thing in the past. Little League rules (and most youth sports in America) are explicit on player residency regardless of the spin Jesse Jackson tries to put on it,. The playing field is level, JRW tried to tilt it in their favor with out-of-district players. There are "elite" leagues and AAU leagues available for those teams that don't want to abide by LL boundary guidelines and those are the leagues JRW should have been playing in if they wanted to roster out-of-district players, plain & simple.
You know who I feel bad for? The in-district, eligible JRW kids who were deemed not good enough and bumped for their suburban, all-star counterparts. Those are probably the kids who needed to be on the team the most,.
