Third encounter

I just tinkled...

Now, I'm not a supernatural type of guy. I don't believe in bigfoot, the Lochness Monster, and any of that stuff. I do believe the body has a spirit, but I'm not sure if I believe in "chain rattling", boo type "ghosts."

Now that said, I work in a building that was built back in the 1860s. I was working late one night, and I was the only one in the building. Everyone else was long gone. About 9:00 that night I heard someone walking down the hall. I leaned out of my office to see who it was. No one was there. I thought that maybe whoever it was walked downstairs. But the stairs are right by my office and I would have heard them if they had gone down stairs. I got up to see who it was. There was NOBODY in the building. I looked everywhere in the building. There was nobody there. I kind of blew it off and got back to work. It did bother me a little bit though. I went home and told my wife about it.

The next day at work, I mentioned that I heard footsteps in the building last night, and one of the guys who had worked there for many more years than I had said "Oh, you heard our ghost, huh?" I said "what?" They said "yeah, didn't anybody tell you? This building has a ghost." Well, I didn't agree with him, but I didn't say BS either.

Now, several years later, we had some carpenters doing some remodeling in our building. They would come in and work in the evening, so that they wouldn't disrupt our business. I came in one morning and it looked like the carpenters had done nothing that night. I asked my boss why they didn't work last night. He told me that they did come in to work, but they heard someone walking through the building. The carpenters couldn't find anyone in the building and called 911. The police came and also found nobody. Well, they refused to work the rest of the night.

Both of those, true stories.

I'm not saying that I believe in ghosts, but I can't say that I don't.

Yeah, I think I dated her too. If it wasn't her, it must have been her sister. http://www.ar15armory.com/forums/sty...ult/beeler.gif

Here is my ghost story.

I used to work in an National Guard Armory that was built in the 60's. The guy who first worked there was a guy named Frank. He worked there (hell, from the stories I have been told. He pretty much lived there.) for over 20 years until he died there in the early to mid 80's. Only 4 people had worked in that Armory before me. Three of the guys are friends of mine.

Well, the day I get moved there, my buddies are telling me stories about weird stuff that goes on there. Lights flickering, doors open and close on there own, stuff being knocked over and even items disapearing. ( I'm getting goose bumps just remembering this crap.)

Well, I just brushed it off and figured they were just screwing with me. Now I worked in this Armory by myself for close to 4 years. So keep that in mind.

My first 6 months there went quiet. So I forgot about all the stuff my buddies told me. Well, one day I am sitting at my desk and notice something pass by my outside window. Like a shadow. Well back then 9/11 had happened and we had to keep all doors locked. So I got up to go let whoever in. I opened the door and no one is there. I figure it must have been a bird flying by the window. No big deal, sit down and go back to work.

A few more months pass and the same shadow keeps going past my window. Everytime I open the door.... nothing. The shadow progresses into the building itself. I see shadows moving around corners. I call my buddies about it and they say, "That's Frank; screwing with you. You haven't seen anything yet." I haven't seen anything yet?!?!?! What the hell is gonna happen?

Well, as fore told. Things get worst.

Let me give you a little insight into this Armory. The building was old and not well insulated. There was one heater and one A/C in the building and both were in my office. So to help conserve heat and air, I kept all the doors closed. So keep all this in mind as I continue the story.

After talking with my buddies, a few days later....

I am sitting in my office and I here all hell breaking loose in the supply room that is on the other side of my office. At this point I jump up, grab my pistol and call the local PD. After all, there was over 50 weapons in the vault. Cops get there; I UNLOCK and open the door to the supply room. (4)10ft tall shelves, loaded with different Army supplies have been knocked over. Paperwork is strown all over the room. The vault is locked; so just to make sure everything is good, I open it. (1) weapons rack is on the ground. Nobody, anywhere to be found. The cops do a complete search and see no signs of forced entry anywhere.

A couple of weeks passes and I am back in my office and I go to get something from the back. When I open my door, every door in open. (remember what I said about conserving energy?) I close them and say "FRANK! CUT IT OUT!". I go to the back and when I walk back into the hallway; all of the doors are opened again. I close them again and go into my office. Well, about 30 mins before it's time to go home. I am finishing up some stuff and all of a sudden I hear a loud knock at the front door. I go to open it and nothing. I feel the hair on the back of my neck stand up and I hear one of the doors in the back SLAM! I get my pistol and go to the back. I start to hear the doors in the hallway SLAM. I leave without turning anything off.

At this point in time I have been working there about a year and a half.

I called one of the older guys that worked there and really talked to him about what the hell was going on. At this point I am freaked out so much that I don't want to tell other people what is going on. I didn't think anyone would believe me. Well, my friend tells me he experienced all of that but nothing too unbearable.

Well, another year passes, with all of the door openings and slammings, my car keys would disappear every now and then, shadows moving hear and there. It was something I just kinda got used too. I did my thing and Frank would do his.

In my final year there. It started getting bad. Doors would slam over and over. The shadows were no longer gone in a whisp. I was seeing full figures, now. Supply room was getting trashed on a regular basis. One door was slammed so hard is cracked the glass window in it. Things start to get knocked off my desk and in my office.

Durning this time; I am out in the main drill hall (Where we have our formations. It is an open area about 75ft by 100ft). I am updating one out of "information" boards and I hear my name called. I turn around and nothing. I say "Hello?" and I feel a hand grab the back of my neck.

I left that building and only returned with my buddies who had worked there in the past. I gathered my things, and we took all of the sensitive items out of the armory and I never returned. One year later the armory was closed and turned over to the city.

This is real. This happened to me. Yes, I believe in ghost!
