Military drawing up plans for weapon confiscation

WASHINGTON, DC – A senior U.S. general has confirmed that the military has secretly drawn up plans to round up large numbers of privately-owned firearms from American gun owners. General James M. Scott of the U.S. Air Force confirmed that the Pentagon received a series of formal directives from the White House between November 7 and December 13 to begin plans for a massive nationwide operation to confiscate guns using a series of federal databases compiled over the last few decades.
General Scott spoke with Duffel Blog reporters in a parking garage in northern Virginia.
Scott also confirmed that a certain four-star general who heads the U.S. Transportation Command was intimately involved in the planning. General Scott would not reveal the general’s name out of concerns for his safety.

The plan, known in the military as Operation PREAKNESS, combines a series of tactics developed for house sweeps and room clearing in Iraq and Afghanistan, which General Scott admitted had been used as test-runs for the U.S.
“If we can confiscate millions of firearms in a country where we don’t speak the language or understand the culture, the U.S. should be easy,” General Scott told The Duffel Blog. “I just feel sorry for that poor Osama fellow we had to kill to justify the whole thing.”
Chew on this for a while.

Three problems:

1. The source is garbage.

2. No such thing as a General in the AF.

3. The AF knows little to nothing about weapons or clearing tactics.
I'd find the Army's manual on submarine tactics more credible.

1. Yes the source is garbage which is why it is in this area.

2. Are you sure about that?

3. Again, are you sure about that? They may not be proficient, but they do practice room clearing.

FYI - The Army has pilots and boat skippers, the NAVY has land tactical units, the AF has ... Urban Security forces... They ALL have Military Police that function on land or water.

Your right, I was thinking Navy which is Admiral. Regardless, an AF General is beyond absurd commenting on a massive ground operation. These generals are well rounded but not that well rounded.

As for them clearing rooms, almost all branches do this in some capacity. We even had Air Force explosive teams helping us clear IEDs on routes. They were not the first choice however, we were just short on explosive experts so yes, they can do it but are never called upon for this duty unless their is a shortage which there would not be in this massive roundup.

If they call on any branch it's the reserves and I've been in almost 20 years and we seldom do this training...maybe once a year for a couple of hours. That's not enough to pull off something of this magnitude. It would take weeks and most of them are barely fit enough to run a couple of miles with no gear. Going house to house...most of them would be on stretchers after one day with shin splints.

We always had the MRAPs, they are being brought home. Same thing was done during WWII, Vietnam, and the Gulf War. We brought vehichles back and used them. The bigger question is where do they plan on getting the manpower to do this job? A lot of people in the military and law enforcement own weapons. So the plan is to tell them to stop at their homes first, get their guns, then start going house to house? LOL. Good luck achieving that mission.
