We have never dropped it. Kevin and David are the two main guru's for our league. I feel sure someone will drop out. It would be good to have you on the team.

I'm a little disappointed. I thought somebody had taken the time to filter out all of the Joe Sam "keeper" posts and I was going to get to read them this morning. :(

Okay, this is where we are...
Unfinished Business First, please post on the Msg Board Thread "Checking In" and state "I'm in 2011" along with your team name if you are playing this season... If you haven't responded by 12:00am Friday 12 August, will assume you're out and that'll be that; we need timely replies brothers... if you know of a service person, please identify and assist in getting the word out... Second, we discussed changing/increasing the number of sleepers to a max of four (4) on offense and defense to shorten the draft, encourage trading, team continuity/identity... once existing members have identified themselves as returning, we will vote Sunday 14 August and allow to secure Keepers by 12:00am 21 August and clear rosters for the draft... If you've cleared your roster prior to vote to increase, you'll be allowed to geaux back and secure the Keeper as it'll be in the transaction history to back up claim. Third, we will set a tentative date for the draft at 27 August... Finally, Trash Talk is encouraged, side betting is on your own at your own risk; this is a comradery league of Black and Gold JoeSam Friends... One last thing, trading of draft picks can be enabled if we vote on it... |

We'd welcome any Black & Gold Brothers on board; so far from last year we still have Halo waiting... Several Team Managers haven't checked in and they've about a week to do so... The JoeSam League is a fantasy football league supported by the ESPN.com/fantasy website; it was founded by Hagan714 and named for one of the most beloved brethren, JoeSam, of the Black and Gold Website...
There are currently no league fees as espn.com does not charge for same; there is no formal gambling/betting nor any required wager /chances to participate... The draft format is online with prior season finish and number of "keepers" kept determining draft order which is conducted in the "snake" format... The espn site is very supportive with plenty of stats and graphics to aid team managers during the selection process; we recommend you do your own analysis... There are currently twelve teams with an annual turnover of two-four team managers who are from all parts of America, from all walks of life... Game play is head-to-head with all positions in play on offense and defense excluding Offensive Tackles, Guards, and Centers which get no respect anyways... If you prematurely dropped players from your roster that you'd like to have kept with new rule changes; try to add them to your roster, just be sure we can see where you dropped them in the last few days... It is looking like we will keep eight, the league settings will be adjusted for tomorrow... I suggest once the new settings are in place you select your Keepers, immediately... |

As stated on the ESPN site we're set to move forward... We waited for timely responses and got a little more than half responses... I know we all have commitments, and this is a fun event, but do try to respect everyone's involvement and compete to the end of the season and respond in a timely fashion to any requests and inquiries... Lamb Duck lineups in the back half of the season and absentee team management is not appreciated... If a problem comes up, Kevin and I will be more than glad to work to accommodate any issues you may have; but you must communicate in a timely fashion as we both have demanding schedules... And so, Welcome all, including the new team owners... This is a detailed, active league; snooze - you lose... This week will be very busy... Go ahead and view the changes in League Details; specifically, declare your keepers with a total of eight (8) - four (4) on offense, four (4) on defense... For you new guys, we draft every position except offensive lineman/non-Tight Ends... While the QB, RB, WR's are important - check the scoring system and you'll see how important the IDP can be; two (2) championships have been won with great IDP and average RB & WR! It's a great equalizer system we have... Draft is this weekend at 3pm, be ready... |
