Draft Karma

So I'm in three FFL this year - CBS, ESPN, Yahoo...

The CBS League is nearly fifteen years old; it has twelve teams; savvy GMsl I'm the only southern gentlemen; and this year we have four brothers and two cousins who are So-Cal Hispanic Raiders/Cowboys die-hards...

Because of the political climate things haven't been that civil coming out of the Baseball Season and into the Football Season...

Well, a few nights before the draft, notice the draft order randomly set itself a number of times until I had the first slot which has always been a difficult slot from which to draft in our league...

One of the brothers who's the commish then announced the draft time with the caveat, the draft order was random and Louisiana guy is first

Well, I'm pissed for about two minutes and then like the Grinch before Christmas, I hatched my payback...

Now, there's alot of trash-talk during the draft to try to throw everyone off their game...

So Saturday morning, the draft starts, but instead of taking the consensus No. 1, Gurley, I take Zeke Elliot...

Four different WTFs popped up followed by why you not taking Gurley, Homie...

Well, I let em know Homie don't play that and then I executed step two with the comment I'm gonna beat yo ass*s with Zeke like I did with my Saints last year...

Background - went completely homer last year with a lineup of Ingram, Kamara at RB; Michael Thomas as one of my WR, Fleener was a backup tight end, and played the Saints DST with success twice...

And would've won had Wentz not gone down...

As if I foretold, one of the brothers and a cousin posted that BS, I'm gonna get Zeke and I responded that it'd take two RBs...

So, other than Kelce, Rodgers, Brown, things fell that nearly RBs were the only thing going; my draft fell this way Zeke, DeAndre Hopkins, Gronk, Mike Evans, Amari Cooper...

I even got 49ers Breida, Goodwin after the sixth round run on defenses that always happens in our draft...

Since last Sat, they're all asking themselves how'd he do that?

See I knew those guys would covet Zeke, the best fantasy Cowboy, and three of them picked right after me, so I knew that move would put 'em in a frenzy...

But I never expected this, nor to declare myself the Champ before the first game was played...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: Draft Karma

Nice ^^^^

My karma was Mckinnon and Fournette in the early rounds, but Thomas in the second. Despite losing Zeuerlein in warm-ups I dropped 168 on the league champ last week.

Funny you mention McKinnon - one of the members of the kabal of the league mentioned drafted LeVeon Bell, then Jerrick McKinnon, then Tevin Coleman, then Ben Roethlisberger...

Re: Draft Karma

Tight matchup for me this week:
A good friend and huge Falcon fan had Kamara going against me. He got to watch those 6 points come off the board and knew we were going to score on the next play.
