People can change? Who is on that long list of reformed Pro-Bowlers?

You are banking on the fact that Goddell will even re-instate this idiot. He has been arrested TEN times, and as recently as January this year had another incident. I guess I do not see much remorse or change. Goddell could have let him play the last 6 games last year, but did not. What does that tell you?

Let Davis sign him, that way we can definitely get Asomugha.

Actually I don't think it will. If nothing has been shown by Brees in the last two years, it's the fact that he will utilize whatever weapons are on the field: backs, receivers, and TE.

What would truly make the Saints offense ridiculous is a consistent and effective running game. But unlike others on the board, I don't think that requires a change in personnel to pull off. It requires a change in philosophy and a commitment to running the football. Too often Payton abandons the running game. Or gets too cute with it.

As usual, I'd like to see a ridiculous defense. A defense that takes offenses and make their whole day into a series of 3 and outs.

But I wouldn't take PacMan even if he made the defense into that unit.

Hopefully he can get hurt so we can go one to win the SB without him.

Tobias-Reiper, you just don't get it. Before you started taking shots at my post you should've stopped and made sure you understood what the post was about. My post wasn't about Al Davis and the Raiders. This is all that was mentioned about Al Davis..."What is more important, having a team full of angels or having a Lombardi Trophy? I have to side with the Raiders and Al Davis on this issue. If we had an owner with the "just win baby" mentality we would've won a superbowl by now". I guess you thought you could really put me in my place with this epic response..."well, it's all good that you side with Al Davis on this one, being that the Raiders win the SB every year". WTF, who said anything about the Raiders winning the superbowl every year? Did I say that the Raiders are the best franchise in football? No, of course not, all I said was that if we had an owner with the "just win baby" mentality we would've won a superbowl by now. The point I was making is that if we had an owner who was willing to pay big bucks for good players and take risks on players with bad reputations we would have a championship by now. We would've had alot more success through the years if we had an owner who was 100% committed to winning.

I don't even like Al Davis but I respect the man for trying to win at all cost. Of course the Raiders don't win the superbowl every year but by God it's not for lack of trying on Al's part. The man will do anything to win and if that means over paying for players or bringing in bad guys then so be it. Is that the best way to run a team, of course not, but it's his team and he has had a ton of success doing it his way. Tobias you bring up the point that the Raiders haven't done anything lately, thanks for that info Captain Obvious. Al Davis' time passed him by a long, long time ago. The game has changed so much and he hasn't been able to adapt. He should've given up all of the personnel duties several years ago.

As far as your question about how many INTs Pacman had last year, I didn't give you an answer because I was searching all over the internet trying to find that info. I took me forever but I finally found out that he didn't record an INT last season for the Titans because he was suspended. LOL, what the hell was the point of asking me that question. Everybody knows that he was suspended and he is a freaking nut case! I'm not disputing that. I feel like everybody else does about not liking the guy. He's a punk. My point is that at this point I think he would be worth the risk of giving up a late draft pick for a potential pro bowler. If he started acting a fool, then we cut his sorry arse and move on. Is it so crazy fo me to want our team to do whatever they can do to aquire players that will help us win? It's not like I want us to go out and sign every outlaw in football! I'm not saying sign bad guys just to do it. I want our team to be good guys just like everybody else, but I think that bringing in a few troubled superstars wouldn't make the team collapse. If you think that bringing in Pacman or Shockey would destroy our chemistry, then what does that say about our leadership? I think our leadership is strong enough to withstand any potential controversy.
Your whole argument is *if we spend lots of cash and pick up trouble players at least it will show we are trying to win.* Raiders have not done it and the Redskins didn't do it. What it leaves is a big waste of money and time and ticked off fans. Packman, and most recently Henry aren't in the NFL right now because they are punks that don't do anything but think of themselves. I bet you are a Brooks fan too.

I thought we were going to make it through a whole off season without someone mentioning Brooks... oh well. Seriously... Brooks? Thats a bit uncalled for.

Ha! I didn't want to get into name calling.

The argumentive style he is bringing reminds me of the brooks supporters of old. The "It doesn't matter how awful someone is" argument. Just wanted to make a comparision. It would tell alot about the poster as far as i'm concerned.

From this point on I promise not to mention the one that can't be mentioned again.

They can change in movies and fairy tales like "THE KNIGHTS TALE" "A man can change his stars"... but you're only given so many oppitunities and the odds aren't in his favor. -Has Ricky Williams made it back yet?
