thank u sir.. i think the same thing about shockey.. u just said it before i could... who wouldnt complain about eli manning bein the qb.. and dont come with he won a superbowl.. he finally started living up to the hype after 3 years.. and the D won the superbowl.. he just happened to be on the team...
You are as full of $hit as the Christmas turkey. Other than Joe Montana, Eli is the only QB on a winning SB team to drive his team for 2 TD's in the 4th quarter.
This is so typical...why hate ARCHIE MANNING's son? The Saints should be so lucky as to have a QB like Eli...instead of an overachieving munchkin.
It is one of the reason that I have lost my fire for the Saints. Over the years I have seen them pass on the likes of locals such as Favre, Peyton, Eli, and Patrick Willis...and I'm almost willing to bet that if Dorsey falls in their lap they will pass on him, too.
Oh...BTW...hello to all. Long time no see.

Oh...and a couple more things regarding Eli. Three years as a starter...3 years in the playoffs.
He has won in 4 years twice as many playoff games as all of the Saints QB's combined for 40 years.
Now that Favre has retired...for now...Eli ranks 3rd behind Peyton and Brady for consecutive games started. He played through a separated shoulder this year and delivered a SB win.
I thought the people in NY were bad, but the people here in his own hometown seem to be much harsher on him.
Is it a La./Miss. thing...or is it the way he handled the 2004 draft? I want the truth...and I can handle it.

alright now this is going beyond what is needed. Be a careful this thread will be dumped if this keeps going down the tubes. Try to us some more symbols please. we all would get the idea. We have younger fans that read this too. Personal attacks, even joking do get out of hand quickly. So be careful. debate, do not insult
Back to the topic. I want players that can make it through the season and the saints to get a good return on their investments. That all. Both have the odds stacked against them. One on the field the other off. I will go for on the field every time. Forfeit pay for off the field suspensions, then ok you gotta deal.

I have been a member of this site for quite a while...although I have not visited in a while. I have never come on so strong in a post before...but sometimes, you have to do what you have to do. When I posted that, I said to myself that this may get me banned, but sometimes you just say, "whatever". I found this other site that doesn't cater to the kids, and you are more free to say whatever you feel, so I have spent much more time there.
If I'm not mistaken, the poster that I quoted was one of the people that caused me to seek Saints info elsewhere. You can only take so much garbage before you say "enough is enough."
Oh, and one more thing. If you are concerned with what kids see, in the future you may not want to quote the offending statement.

Ultimately, what will decide if Shockey were to come to the Big Easy from the Big City is the impact of even more fans' butts in seats v. costs in dollars and draft picks (Shockey and a Swap for #1's could happen for example, and the Saints Capologist and His Taskmaster would like spending less on a #1 Draft Pick)...
Knowing Benson's "frugal" ways of the past, you think he would have drafted Reggie Bush if it weren't only for the draw the Bush is, but the negative reaction had Bush not been taken...
A Jones, esq. would discourage the average Saints Season Ticket Holder; these same clients are the small corporate packages of 20-40 tickets, the same companies I do business with, and these Good Ole Boys don't want PacMan anywhere near the Superdome Turf unless its on his back after Karney flattens him on a Green Bay Power Sweep!
Now onto this BullShinski of Al Davis...
Oh boy! He (along with most people who drink the Obama Koolaid, feel he won those Superbowls when in fact the Raiders won (like other teams) because of the talent and passion of the players and the Coaches that told him to 'sit the F&^% down and let us do this thing!'
Madden, Flores, Shell, Biletnikoff, Long, Tatum, Alzado, Matuszak, Branch, Hayes, Davidson, LaMonica, Allen, Wisniewski are the guys that brought the winning ways to the Raiders, Davis was the umbrella in the cocktail - useless, but a fun garnish to look at...
These guys had a passion for the game that was bigger than their legendary passion for the nightlife...
Starting to see the point...
It's not Raider mystique, it's not Pats Team First Philosophy (by the way where are McGinest, Branch, and can't get no respect/sacrifice everything Troy Brown among others)...
It's a two horse chariot called Talent and Passion with Competence at the Reigns that rides into town with Victory...
Ok point is well made. I know you have been here for a while so I figured you would not take to much offense to me using your post. Sorry if you did. But this thread has been going down hill and I had to step in and say something. its not just you.
As for the quote i want to make sure everyone has a clear picture of what I am talking about. Young and old.
I understand your need to make your point and we try not to make it a site that is PG rated. I feel you have the right to exploded. All we ask is us some tack.
Once again this is not just you. Do not take this personal.
We spend alot of time talking about getting a hammer RB but as far as I'm concerned TE is our most glaring need on offense. A hammer is a big need but a dynamic TE would bust things wide open.
As one of the top prep basketball prospects in the country coming out of high school in 2005, Bennett declared for the NBA draft and could have been a first-round pick. But, just like he changed his mind that year and instead went to Texas A&M, it could benefit him this year to resist the temptation of entering the NFL draft a year early.
Bennett has serious raw talent as a receiver and blocker. With his basketball background, he naturally has great hands, but he has had to learn how to use them well. Being in an offense where the passing game isn't the focus means he hasn't had as many opportunities as he would if he played for, say, Missouri. But he is a good receiver and will certainly get even better with time. This season, he has 45 catches for 541 yards and four touchdowns, making him the Aggies' leading receiver.
He has proven himself to be an excellent blocker, which he needs to be in A&M's run-oriented offense, but it's his pass blocking that may be most noteworthy. All in all, he's a terrific all-around athlete -- aside from his great hands, he's very strong and he has excellent leaping ability.
this is my pick in the draft for TE.
Let him join Shockey and have the dust settle in training camp. I think TE will not be an issue for a few years to come.
If I'm not mistaken, the poster that I quoted was one of the people that caused me to seek Saints info elsewhere. You can only take so much garbage before you say "enough is enough."
i doubt it...
oh and one more thing, i dont mind you disagreeing with my opinion.. but to talk about an ADMIN. like that is asking for it....
