now, with that out of the way.. i still think Eli is garbage... so he made a comeback with 2 TDs in the 4th quarter... thats just one game... just b/c it happened to be the biggest game doesnt change that fact that he is still mediocre qb... the #s prove it... until he can do it CONSISTANTLY for seasons.. and not just a few games.. then i will think otherwise... seriously.. i dont care that he won a superbowl... so did trent dilfer, and ya know what.. they both won it the same way........... on the backs of a solid defense...

And I'd like to give you my address and invite you here to see if you're willing to talk to me the way you type.

To put it words you can understand, the good guys make the bad guys behave.
I see. Are you sure that it's never the other way around, or that it doesn't effect the teams morale?

Quote:
You said that the Bengals have "some players that are thugs". What, was that a joke? The whole team is made up of thugs with a few decent human beings sprinkled in. Don't even try to use the Bengals as an example of why we shouldn't sign a troubled player. If we signed one or two "bad guys" our team wouldn't just all of the sudden turn into the freaking Bengals. They have spent years building that cesspool of a team so you're comparing apples to oranges.
You asked if Saints fans were too picky and I gave you a reason why. If you want Adam Jones, Michael Vick, and Chris Henry on the Saints then you now have a team just like the Bengals.

I know, bad guys could also make our team crash and burn.

Maybe you are Al Davis. These certainly aren't motto's that should posted on locker room walls.

Look Guy, the thing about Vick was a joke so ease up with the shrink stuff. Get a grip.
You had my attention with the original post. There's no need to turn into a punk and try to anger people. I have a grip and I'm doing alright. I suggest that you get a grip and behave like an adult.

This is so typical...why hate ARCHIE MANNING's son? The Saints should be so lucky as to have a QB like Eli...instead of an overachieving munchkin.

It is one of the reason that I have lost my fire for the Saints. Over the years I have seen them pass on the likes of locals such as Favre, Peyton, Eli, and Patrick Willis...and I'm almost willing to bet that if Dorsey falls in their lap they will pass on him, too.

Oh...BTW...hello to all. Long time no see.
I don't know what kind of Christmas turkey you eat, but I prefer mine without the "$hit".

Has anybody noticed how a thread about Jeremy Shockey has turned us all into our own little Jeremy Shockeys? I personally want him here, but geez, chill out.

The Deuce posting caused me to go back and look at this post:

and i didnt notice it at first but....

when did the saints pass on Brett Favre, Payton Manning, Eli Manning or Patrick Willis? ummmmmmmmmmmm NEVER...

Payton was chosen #1 overall by the colts, Eli was chosen #1 overall by the Chargers then traded to the NYG, and when Patrick willis was chosen #11 overall by the 49ers, the Saints were picking at 27..........

in the 1991 NFL draft, Brett Favre was chosen in the 2nd round Pick #33 overall... the saints didnt have make a selection until Pick #42 b/c they traded their 1st round pick #14 overall to the cowboys for QB Steve Walsh

Finally, there is NO WAY possible that Dorsey will fall to 10, and in fact if he does make it to #5, then the saints will likely be trying to trade up to get him since DT is our greatest need and he is the best prospect at that position and a jump to #5 wouldnt be that much

Yeah I noticed that to, how could we pass on a #1 pick when we didn't have the first pick? Trust me, we would've taken both Mannings and Willis if they would've fell to us.

iceshack149 you tell me to act like an adult right after you say that you'd like to invite me to your home to see if I can walk the walk. That's just what this board needs, another message board tough guy. Even though I can walk it like I talk it, I have to be above threats and tough talk on a message board because I am an adult and I have class.

Thanks for making my point. They have this neat little thing called a trade that the Saints seem very reluctant to do. I'll give you Ricky W. Seriously, because I really can't remember, who was another person they made a move to get?

Saint_LB, Eli Manning is garbage and will always be garbage. I don't care if he has a ring, so do Doug Williams and Trent Dilfer. A bum QB with a ring is still a bum. You say why hate Archie's kid and it's no that I hate Eli it's just that I'm not going to say he's great just because his last name is Manning like everbody else. I call him like I see him and if Eli's last name wasn't Manning he might not even be starting. He sure as heck wouldn't be as hyped.

So what do you want us to do, trade up to the top five or ten every time there is a local boy in the draft? Were we supposed to trade away another entire draft to go up and get Eli "The Bum" Manning?

Here's another guy we went up to get, Sully the Slob.
