... As for the West, I really won't even look until next round. My early gut feeling is the Golden Seals and Fighting Saints in the conference finals
... time for some trivia, ... who's your favorite former NHL'er who played for both the Golden Seals and the Fighting Saints?
Ray McKay, ... the only reason I know this is because he used to give hockey clinics (defenseman) in London & Windsor, ON that my kids used to attend ... I'll never forget him out on the ice teaching the kids how to slow down a puck carrier ... "stick between the legs!", "fist full of jersey!", ... priceless, .
Great one--nothing better than minor league hockey stories. I'm sure you've heard this one:
The EHL - Eastern Hockey League (1954-73): Bob Costas' first game broadcasting the Syracuse Blazers
I lived in that hellhole Johnstown at the time and saw Ouimet play often. Two games in a row I saw him get penalties for improper equipment. Turns out he was cutting his glove so that he could put his hand through it and hold players in front of the crease. That is something you would really have to practice
So we are 0-3.
Lundqvist could be back for game 2, but NYR had more issues than that game 1.
Det had a good scrap in game 1, but might not have the horses this year.
Philly- 8 shots over the last periods. Total. Someone woke up Holtby after the game and told him that he got the shutout.
