Not a fight, but check this out SloMo. This is from SM-Liiga and the culprit is from the team I played for as a junior. The team's name is Tappara, which is the Finnish name for that type of a two-sided axe, which they have as their logo.

The player really takes the whole axe thing to heart and tries to replicate an axe hit with his stick. The end result was a minor penalty for slashing... you got to be kidding... he brakes his stick in half and it's a small wonder the other guy doesn't get injured. That's SM-Liiga for you!

Whoa! That's laying on the lumber ... we call that giving someone a "BC backhander" ... a two-handed swing with the stick, characteristic of British Columbia hockey back in the day ... and I must have been thinking about the Vernon/Roy goalie fight, not Hasek/Roy which you're right, was more of a slip & fall then a fight.
