Gibson Melody Maker

I own one of these:

Now, this isn't mine. However, mine is identical. The Serial Number is 910995. It belonged to my Dad, and I believe it dates back to the 60's. Mine is in slightly less than 'excellent' condition - it's missing the first three pearl (or whatever they're made of) dots on the fretboard and a single screw on the pick guard.

Just wondering if any of you players know anything about this guitar beyond what can be easily found online. I have and am playing my Dad's acoustic/electric Washburn and I'm also holding on to my Grandpa's 1957 Gibson ES 125 shown below - and it is NOT for sale.

C'mon Man...

Yeah, I'm sure Strato might at least know where to start. I'd consider selling the Melody Maker to fund a Les Paul Studio maybe (well, partially fund since I don't think I'd get a grand for the little guy), but the ES 125 is the one my grandpa made his records with in 1959 - it ain't goin nowhere.

My brother is big into guns and boats. I should get you two together. LOL
