Thumbs up Van Halen Was ****Ing Incredible!

So, I went to the show at Oracle in Oakland and had a blast. Yesterday I bought tickets for tonight's show at the HP Pavilion in San Jose. Here's a little (actually it's long but it was fun to write) write up and a link to a video I took from the Oakland (iPhone so quality isn't too great) show if anybody's interested...

The best way I know how to describe it? I don’t know. I’ve thought a lot about it over the last 24 hours. When I walked out of the arena, I couldn’t tell for sure if I’d just been born again or if I’d just given birth. What I mean is that 20 years ago I felt like I felt last night, and I was completely exhausted, and it was good.

Glad to hear you liked the show. I've admittedly heard some mixed reviews, but I'm still considering hunting up some tix for June 26th in NOLA.

Man I LOVED it! Saw them again last night in San Jose. Here are a few more videos from last night's show.

And you know, if you compare how they sounded in '84 to now, you have to be impressed. Dave is 58 so obviously he doesn't have that range he had 30 years ago, and they've all mellowed a bit, which is also understandable, but they ****ing rocked. Dave does 'talk' his way through some of the lyrics, but who cares? Eddie can freaking play, and he's better now than he has ever been...

C'mon Man...
