For you fans of 90's Alternative Rock
 

I'm at a loss on this one. STP has been one of my favorite bands for years. They opened for Aerosmith at the first real concert I ever went to back in 2002 in Bossier City where both put on an incredible show. Now, they have fired Scott Weiland for the 3rd time and hired Chester Bennington of Linkin Park to take his place. This is double facepalm worthy as far as I'm concerned.

Agreed. Can't really blaim STP for Weiland because after all he is if anything unreliable. He has a ligit drug problem, not just one for "rocker" points. STP in their day was awesome live. The Linkin Park dude is definitely a head scratcher.

Yeah, this is turrible. Scott & Slash should re-form Velvet Revolver and get that going again. There was a ton of potential there. Weiland IS (or was...yet again) STP as far as I'm concerned.

Slashed has really mellowed out. I doubt he could work with Weiland anymore.

You could be right. I'm definitely not much on what's he's doing now with Myles Kennedy - not that it's bad it's just not my bag really and I think he's a lot better than the stuff he's putting out right now. Maybe Weiland and a return to Velvet Revolver would be just the ticket?

Because of all the damage done to his body, and the fact he has pacemaker to make sure he doesn't have lethal arrhythmia, ole Slash probably can't handle the stress of another venture with Weiland anyway.
