The songwriter explained the reason for his vocal stylings and it made perfect sense. Someone else on the other hand makes no sense yet people still believe every word of it.

I stood in Jalalabad Afghanistan with that man telling us to our faces we would be leaving. That was over 5 years ago. It's not material.
