Powerful voice & extremely smooth vocals. Cameron voice reminds me so much of the lead singer for T-Bird and the Breaks.

If you are on facebook you can "Like" his page, CameronMerrellMusic, and keep up with all the latest on his EP coming out later this year. He cut all the primary bass and percussion a couple of weeks ago and this past weekend he got much of the guitar work, keyboards and organ done. He has plans for horns and harmonica and maybe a few other pieces before he finally records his final vocal tracks. It is all so interesting how the process takes place.

A little update on the EP. Most of the main work on the six songs are done. Lead and rhythm guitar, bass and percussion, and most recently a few sessions of horns and harmonica. Sax work was done a couple of weeks ago. Cameron is having to fit all of this work in within the work schedules of his and the session musician's. He is getting close to laying down his vocals and then will come the final mixing.

Update!

The final masters have been finished and delivered. Uploading to all sites (iTunes, Google Music, Spotify, vinyl orders, etc.) began yesterday. Music video for Louisiana Outlaw Blues is well into editing. Official release dates being determined.

Latest news! I heard from Cameron yesterday and the official release date will be August 11th. They will be working on promotional photo shoots and such leading up until then.

Pass the word and share him with friends. He's recording as an independent meaning he has upped all the money and did all of the writing and arrangements. It was a totally solo initiated project besides the fantastic musicians and back-up singers that he recruited. Both the recording studio and film production companies were start-ups counting on him to give them street cred. He did that big time.

That one appears to be the favorite on iTunes, too. I had only heard acoustic versions of all of these before the album was released. Teach Me How To Love is becoming my favorite.
