Standout metal singer Warrel Dane passed away
 

I was very saddened this morning to hear of the passing of Warrel Dane. He had a phenomenal voice - and to be blunt, he was my 'Adele'. The only thing almost as unfair as his untimely death at only 56 is that he is vastly unknown and underrated.

No way dude! Super bummed to hear this. While I never thought he had the best singing voice (not that I thought it was bad) what I really loved about him was the raw emotion he sang with. He was definitely one of a kind. Without Nevermore I probably would never have gotten into prog metal. RIP Warrel.
