FUN FACTS!!!!!!
Did you know that Mark Brunell was a very successful quarterback at the University of Washington in 1990. That year the Huskies finished 5th in the country. Expecting a very successful senior season, Brunell played in the Huskies spring game and was injured dismissing hopes that the Huskies would make another run for the NCAA national championship.
While injured in 1991, quarterback Billy Joe Hobert replaced Brunell at the University of Washington and won his first 2 games as starting QB. Brunell returned as QB earlier than expected that season, but ultimately was never able to take the job of starting quarterback away from the infamous Billy Joe Hobert. Hobert became the center of NCAA violation controversy, and Brunell replaced him for the final 3 games of 1992, but was only able to win 1 of the final 3 games in the dust of Husky folly.
