Sweet site and thanks for the analysis darnik!

I would put Lefevour over Pike, McCoy and Tebow. Any reason are not sold on him yet?

Re: Post Combine Positional Rankings

I like Clausen ahead of Pike at QB. I would Gerhart as 4 at RB instead of Hardesty. At WR, I like 1. Bryant, 2. Tate, 3. Benn, 4. Williams, 5. Demaryius Thomas. Not sure who I would leave out of the top 5 at TE, but Gronkowski would be up there. Agree 100% at OT. At G, I would have guys like Petrus, Johnson, and Saffold ahead of Brandon Carter. At DT, I would have Williams 3 and Price 4 with Cody as 5. I think Washington is a better OLB in the NFL and would have Spoon, Kindle, Bowman, Norwood, Washington. I would have Berry as the top S at either position.

Thank You.

I'm not really sold on any of these QB's. I actually had Pike #1 for quite awhile, but the Senior Bowl and Combine caused me to bump him down a spot. I still like his chances at the next level.

I don't see a clear distinction between any of the QB's. They all have their own issues and question marks.

Hardesty has really grown on me throughout the year.

The tight ends are pretty close in my mind, and I like a lot of them. Here's how I rank them overall, this shows I don't see a large margin from one to the next, especially Pitta, Dickson, Hernandez, and Gronkowski. Pitta and Gresham have the impressive resumes, and Dickerson is a kid I've been watching since he was a sophomore in high school. He blew up at the combine, and really has a huge upside. Gronkowski has the back issues (never good), and Hernandez is a little smaller than advertised.

41. Jermaine Gresham, TE, 6-6, 261, Oklahoma

50. Dorin Dickerson, TE/FB, 6-1, 226, Pitt

68. Dennis Pitta, TE, 6-5, 250, Brigham Young

69. Ed Dickson, TE, 6-5, 240, Oregon

70. Aaron Hernandez, TE, 6-3, 255, Florida*

73. Rob Gronkowski, TE, 6-6, 260, Arizona*

93. Anthony McCoy, TE, 6-5, 255, Southern California

I just hope we get some good players. We are limited again in how many picks we have?

I would not mind seeing a draft day trade of our 1st for several picks in rounds 2 to 4.

Absolutely. They all have big Qs. I see Pike benefiting from a team that can afford to draft him and work with him on his footwork and technique while getting him preseason work taking snaps from under center and without the open spread Cincy runs. Then again, I think all QBs would benefit from not being thrown into the fire, but I see Pike as a little more of a project than Bradford or Clausen.

From watching Hardesty in the SEC, he seems to have good RB instincts in seeing the hole, and setting up and following his blocks.

I like the overall spots for the TEs. I agree that their value is in the early middle rounds.

19. Ryan Perrilloux, 6-3, 222, Jacksonville State

I was wondering what happened to him. Possible sleeper?

Re: Post Combine Positional Rankings

Sleeper? What about Bradford? Another Drew Brees quietly taking it all in?! I looooovvvveee me some Bradford, I just hope he fools them all and becomes greater than anyone expected!

Bradford making it in the NFL would be somewhat expected...especially since there is speculation that he will be # 1 overall. It would be impossible for him to be a sleeper.

Perrilloux on the other hand...

BRSaintsFan 03-05-2010 09:23 AM

Re: Post Combine Positional Rankings

Perrilloux could definetly be a sleeper for a team who is willing to take a risk on that baggage. He didnt get invited to the combine and I am not sure when his pro day workout is scheduled. He tore it up at Jax St. Great size and mobility and a cannon. But we all know the story and the antics he pulled at LSU. Def a late round sleeper, if he works out well, may be able to move into the middle rounds.

Re: Post Combine Positional Rankings

Sam Bradford remains me of Tom Brady... I think St. Louis would be foolish to pass on him especially with their offense being so horrid. I'm a big big Pike guy but Jimmy Clausen, for the moment at least, is better and should be drafted higher than Pike. I agree with BR that it'll take a couple of years for him to really get their and with Clausen you'd get more of an immediate return.

Clausen reminds me of Brady Quinn (with the exception of not being ghey). Maybe it is because of the Notre Dame tie but I just can't get high expectations of him.

I still think that Lefevour will be the steal of the QB class. Can't wait to see him at his pro day.

If it was in the ultimate smack I would have. I don't want to offend the youngsters. Easily googleable though.

It's unlikely that we'll get OT Bruce Campbell, but if we draft him we MUST nickname him "Boomstick".
