More Atlanta Jailbirds...

Just saw on ESPN that Michael Boley was arrested Saturday and charged with battery. Go Falcons.

Wow, what in the hell would we all do as fans if our team acted like they have the past couple of years. I would be so ashamed.

Nope. I will NEVER let that comment rest, as long as I wear Black and Gold. And you try and pull it off me!

BTW, it can always get worse. Matt Ryan could get caught in a Chicken fighting ring!

This is more proof that character is very important when considering what players you want to bring in to your team.

Re: More Atlanta Jailbirds...

Micheal Boley is not a bad person. I would not throw him under the train and place him in the same category as Vick or Pacman.

I do not condone what he did, but it is a common charge.

Basiclly, he got pissed at his wife and put his hands on her.

I feel sure every married guy in here has been close to that. And some of the wives also.

I just wonder why it wasn't a domestic abuse charge.

I have never, nor will I ever, strike my wife or put my hands on her with the intention of injuring her. A person that does attempt to injure their spouse, simply put, has character concerns.

Battery does not mean he hit her. He could have "Grabbed" her, and that's all it takes.

Don't misinterpret what I am saying. I do not, DO NOT condone what he did. It is wrong either way you put it. I just don't see him as a career criminal as some are trying to make him out to be.

its a little premature to jump to conclusions. if you remember correctly the same thing happened to jammal brown not to long ago and his wife later changed the story and dropped the charges.

Oh yea, you were never married to my 1st wife. You're right though, I was concerned... for my life. I hid the gun and knives, then I divorced her.

The police told me that defending yourself is not considered battery.
Sometimes you have to slap them like a child to keep them from pulling your eyes out or worse. I was bleeding before... well forget it.

Thank God some of you are not ready to label Boley a "Thug".

I was starting to think I was going to be labeled a wife beater.

I wouldn't say it was wrong either way. Your woman is in your face in a fury and won't go away, and you move her off to the side so you can walk away and not argue, and that is battery on your part. Now, you or I would never have any trouble over this, but an NFL player can lose hi career over it, so that is the route taken by alot of vindictive girlfriends.

She could have been attacking him and he held her arms to her side to defend himself and she calls the cops. Don't be so quick to judge.

Now, maybe he flat out slugged her in her face. Maybe she deserved it, maybe she didn't. All I care about is it is a dent in the Falcons, and that is good. Hehe, we should pipe "Smack my b***h up" into the Falcon's training area, on repeat, in hopes that it gets them in the mood to get the B-squad on the field while they join Vick's prison league.

Speaking of which, how come Pac-Man Jones is involved in shooting people and he is walking around free, but Vick is behind bars for killing a bloody dog. Does that not seem a bit twisted to anyone else?

Re: More Atlanta Jailbirds...

Yeah my first wife called the cops on my for simply trying to get away from her after she jumped on my back as I was walking out the door

We had gotten into a huge argument
I had enough and wanted to leave
She wanted me to stay and argue with her
I said "F" this I'm going sleep at my friend’s house
As I turned to open the door she jumped on me
I struggled for a moment with her to get her off me
She said you walk out that door and I'll call the cops
I laughed and said pleas do so and you will be the one going to jail

lol
Boy was I wrong
They showed up asked me what happened I told them
They didn't even go inside and talk to her
Put the cuffs on me

I was thinking WTF and I use to play high school ball with the guy that arrested me
I asked him what the hell man I have known you for years why am I the one getting arrested
He said in cases like this when they have a child sleeping in a bed you’re the man and we always take the man…
Sorry but that’s the way it goes

The point here is that you can’t tell what happened based on a bias media
