Plaxico Sings The Prison Blues

Plaxico Burress is now serving his 2-year sentence for his weapons charge when he went to a nightclub and accidentally shot himself. On the day he started his sentence I thought up the old Johnny Cash song "Folsom Prison Blues". And this is what I came up with...

FEDERAL PRISON BLUES

Hello, I'm Plaxico Burress...

I hear the season's comin', It's rollin' 'round the bend
And I ain't seen the endzone since I don't know when
But I'm stuck in Rikers Island, time keeps draggin' on
When the referee's whistle is blowin' I feel so alone

Always be a good boy and don't ever play with guns"
So I shot myself at a nightclub, blood was pourin' through
When the '08 season ended, I got cut by "Big Blue"

Ex-teammates playin' Dallas and I'm feelin' very dumb
I watched them crash the party at Cowboys Stadium
See I knew I had it comin', I know I can't be free
Antonio Pierce had went on Twitter just to heckle me

The Steelers didn't want me, The Giants had me cut
I woulda sign with the Lions even though they suck
But when I get out of prison I'll be on a team
Right now I gotta practice for the MEAN MACHINE!!

I think his sentence was ridiculous. Plaxico Burress is no threat to anybody's
community. Scarier people than him are walking around. 2 years for shooting yourself in the leg? insane. Let the man pay a fine, and open up that cell for somebody with more tatoos and baggier britches.

He must have the worst lawyer ever. Other athletes kill their wives (allegedly,) get involved in fatal knifings at Super Bowl parties, kill dogs,
sell drugs, and beat up their girlfriends, and end up on the golf course.
Who the hell was his lawyer?
