Mike Zimmer's name has also been mentioned as possible HC candidates places. Apparently Zimmer is Shanny's brother in law, father in law, something like that...

Anyway, after the Saints terrible defenses during Haz-been's tenure here, along with the Rams crappy defenses, how can anyone, least of all someone with Shanahan's reputation, be considering this guy again for and NFL DC position?

Let's not forget that this is the same team that Dan Snyder owns. He knows how to waste money and talent better than any NFL owner except possibly Al Davis. I'm surprised that Haslett is even being considered for a DC position.(maybe it's for a position coach) LOL

Haz is still riding his Pittsburgh days. And I think that he just won that "other" pro football league championship. I still wouldn't consider him to run a defense though.

He's not a bad defensive coach just not a head coach. Remember he was our LB coach in 95 and DC in 96 and should get some credit for the 97 D that was rank 3rd in the league.

He didn't have much to work with in St. Louis outside of Leonard Little. Nonetheless I agree Shanahan-Shanahan-Haslett would be an odd fit.

I heard today he might go back to Buffalo

When I was a young lad living in PA I saw his homecoming game- Bills at Steelers; he played LB at a nearby small college.

So, sometime in the first half he either kicked or stepped on Bradshaw's face--automatic ejection. I knew way back then he was a tool.

He's a good defensive mind, he's not a head coach.

You made my day! Haslett working with Shananigan in Washington. Next thing is to replace Jason Cambell with Aaron Brooks. Yeah bring them all to Redskin Park let the circus continue. And by the way Bozo The Clowns grandson is a free-agent "long snapper" out of Slippery Rock, he would be a natural in DC.

I like Jim Haslett. I had the fortune of meeting him, after the Saints/49ers game, at the stick, in 2000. Got his autograph, and talked for a minute. He did good that year. I wish him well no matter where he goes.
