Ware misses practice; Barber on Cowboys’ injury report

The Cowboys added OLB DeMarcus Ware to their injury report Thursday with a back condition that caused him to miss practice.

A report in the team’s official blog said Ware didn’t accompany the Cowboys for their indoor practice Thursday, and coach Wade Phillips didn’t provide an update while meeting with reporters before the session.

Ware was listed on the injury report Wednesday, when he fully practiced, despite an ongoing wrist injury with which he has been playing for much of the season. The condition isn’t considered serious, and it isn’t expected to keep Ware out of Saturday’s NFC wild-card playoff game against the Eagles.

The Cowboys also added RB Marion Barber to the injury report Thursday, listing him as limited because of a knee problem. But the Cowboys did have RB Tashard Choice (concussion) back at practice.

Phillips said RT Marc Colombo, who missed seven weeks with an ankle injury, likely would be able to play Saturday. Colombo will start if he’s able to, but because of a lack of game conditioning, he likely would be in a rotation with Doug Free, who has started in his place. Phillips added that the status of SS Pat Watkins (knee) would be a game-time decision.
