Do you feel sorry for Jason Campbell?

I am not a big Campbell fan, however I am starting to feel bad for this guy. I don't blame Campbell for everything that has happened, he has gone through several coaching changes and now McNabb is coming in. Do some of you feel like Campbell is being disrespected? Or do you think he has already had is chances? What are your thoughts?

I guess I'm a softie when it comes to things like this. I do feel for the guy a little. It's not his fault he got drafted to a crappy team. Granted, he could be a little better, but he doesn't really have a lot to work with. Maybe McNabb can coach him.

Yeah, I feel bad for the guy. If there's on thing a QB needs in stability within a system, particularly early on in their careers. Some can overcome it, but a lot fail as a result. I hope he keeps his head up, cause he's got some skill.

i honestly think this guy stinks. i compare him to charlie batch. not who you would want to start but serviceable. i also hate him because he has single handedly ruined a few of my fantasy football teams, either by himself or by ruining Santana Moss for me. would take him for backup purposes and also like bulger to back up

I feel bad for him. It's a bit hard to succeed with all the system changes that he's had to go through. He's not that bad of a quarterback and if he could have some stability, I think he could become a good quarterback. With that said, I don't think he'll ever get that chance. If he could take that Charlie Batch route, that's nothing to be ashamed about. If you can have 10 plus years in the league, you've had yourself a nice career... he's well on that path.

The best find a way to rise above changing coaches, systems, etc...

Archie Manning didn't win alot of games but managed to lead the league in some quality categories several years and even won a NFC Player of the year on a 7-9 team...

And how much is this guy getting paid...to suck...neaux, there are people in the world that have real problems that deserve more thought, focus than him...

the redskins organization is a ****house

just like the browns they think everything falls on the shoulders of the QB

jason campbell is not the problem. he was never the problem.

he is a talented guy and i do feel sorry for him because he earned the right to start in the NFL but now he'll lose that opportunity because of donovan mcnabb.

hopefully his contract is up soon so he can go somewhere else and start for a team that has a little more stability

Yes I do feel sorry for Jason Campbell. He is in the Vince Young/ Mike Vick category as far as being supplied with talent around him Its very incorrect to say he was the problem he's just a scape goat, they ran a bland offense all season long and it showed, not to mention he's probably gone thru more offenses then most if not all active qb's. He's got a rocket launcher for an arm he doesnt throw many picks i say a new team with a stable offensive scheme would do well for him the rams should look into him hes not a cure all but he def can become just that given stability. He wouldnt be a bad Back up behind Drew Brees either

I'm sorry, but as an Ole Miss fan, I can't feel sorry for anyone who went to Auburn.... It's against my religion. :)
And don't even get me started on the Tommy Tuberville incident!

Re: Do you feel sorry for Jason Campbell?

I'll just say, I don't think that Campbell was SuperBowl caliper, but I'll also say that I don't think the Redskins problems started at the QB position. Campbell was pretty efficient and seemed to always do what was expected.

That being said, I don't really care about him one way or the other, but I don't think McNabb has anything more to offer than Campbell. Not to mention, they were grooming Colt Brennan, and I think a lot of Redskins fans were ready to start seeing him get the start. You'll see a lot of his #5 jersey's in the stands even though he hasn't played a relevant down for them yet.....

I wonder how receptive Washington is about McNabb right now.... I'd imagine its a 50/50 thing.... a lot optimistic, but a lot wondering why the heck they got McNabb.

It is not that Campbell is a problem, it is that Mike Shanahan cannot coach QBs and needs a ready-made QB for his offense.

Can't feel sorry for someone who makes $3,000,000 a year.

But Shannan is the master of offensive blocking schemes. The entire offense, but especially Willie Parker and Clinton Portis should benefit.

Dumb move Eagles.

Andy Reid - GET OUT NOW!!

At first I felt a little bad. But then again, he's still got a job and getting paid. And Campbell isn't exactly backing up Cal Ripken - McNabb seems to miss at least a few games every season.

Finally somebody came close. Hello. He's playing in the NFL. Do you guys feel sorry for me because I'm not? Jeeeeeez!

Did I mention that he makes a lot of money to play a game? How many of you guys would quit your job to be the equipment manager for the Saints?
D-Dub...you don't have to answer this one. :)
