Sad story ... but one representative of why we need a rookie salary cap similar to what the NBA has.

Agreed. Why do these owners pay some kid out of college a ton of money for what, Jamarcus Russell ??? Ryan Leaf ??? why. You've done nothing in the NFL. I'm paying you for what you did in college no. Earn It then I'll pay you.

has been in trouble since high school

was a **** up back then too. never cleaned up his act.....felt entitled to everything

what a scrub. people like that have no place in sports and if the college coaches knew what he was doing and had any sort of decency then he would've been off the team and out of our minds a long long time ago

Garbage player for a garbage team: The "DEFAULT LIONS". He couldn't stay healthy and he couldn't catch a cab. The Lions should get that money back and give it to some player(s) who wants to play.

@BREES9: I'll co-sign with you on the fact that the NFL needs to make these rookies (and some of these whiny vets (ala Greg Ellis)) earn their money by what they do on the field, not on film from last year.

Yo Chuck, give the Lions back their money, you're a BUST!! (I bet Ryan Leaf is laughing at him!! If possible.)
