Don't look now! ATfail is now ATsail

They are now not only the best team in our division they are also the best team in the conference..
And officially the best team in the NFL..

I wish saints was playing this week!!!!!!!

We are going to be playing catch up for the rest of the Season if GB don't snap their wings next week.

Saintswrath 11-12-2010 02:41 AM

However we beat the #1 in the AFC *Steelers* with a healthy team back
And ATL beat a the # 6 in the AFC *Ravens* and they're team was moderately healthy.

I think we are better than most think we are, especially as we get healthier.

Pete 11-12-2010 04:31 AM

As I said elsewhere,it's just more wind to knock out the failcons sails when we go stomp a mudhole in their azz! They've got another thing coming the rest of the way and it's not the Lombardi!

saintsfan1976 11-12-2010 06:30 AM

Give em credit. That win legitimized the Falcons. Went up big early. Lost the lead, but fought back - what 80yds in 40 seconds...?

Can't blame the officials (although I'd like to)

Now the Ravens offense and defense are not exactly the caliber of New Orleans, but still an impressive win.

Any given Sunday, my friends

Pete 11-12-2010 06:46 AM

I understand most of that 76,but I just can't find it within myself to give any credit to the failcants. It shall stay a lifelong dedication to keep my failcant hate going strong no matter how DECENT they may be!lol

lynwood 11-12-2010 06:52 AM

Ravens looked very old last night. Still not impressed with Atlanta but they do keep winning.

saintsfan1976 11-12-2010 06:52 AM

Hey man, I'm not about to anoint them either. Most of us here have been hating the Falcons since the NFC West (and those helmets last night made it worse).

But they're good this year and are a legitimate threat to us.

BTW, I have a sink full of dishes - wanna send her on over?

Pete 11-12-2010 07:00 AM

No problem 76 she'll be there as soon as the failcons win another game.I'd invest in some plastic utensils, foam cups, and paper plates! It might be awhile.:bng:

saintsfan1976 11-12-2010 07:01 AM

As poorly as the Ravens played - they were still in the game.

Shoddy secondary really showed in Atlanta's last drive.

Danno 11-12-2010 07:04 AM

Our A-game will destroy their A-game.

Noticed that too. They should've lost to SF and Saints also. But luck COUNTS

I'd be alright w that. Looks like it's up to STL and GB...

Pete 11-12-2010 07:09 AM

Who does atl have next?

saintsfan1976 11-12-2010 07:15 AM

Giants, Falcons, Eagles, Packers all battling for HFA.

Toughest games for each team:

ATL - Bal, GB and Saints
NYG - Min, Philly, GB (Skins twice)
PHI - NYG, Min (Dal twice)
GB - Min, ATL, NE, NYG

NO - Cincy, Bal, ATL

Philly seems to have the easiest remaining schedule.

I agree Strato. I said it last night and I'll say it again this morning. BOTH teams sucked last night. Baltimore just sucked a little bit more than Atlanta. The Saints could have easily beaten either one of those teams that showed up to play last night. I just hope the teams that showed up last nght continue to show up, because I can see several losses in both of their futures if they keep playing that bad.

satch 11-12-2010 07:40 AM

We will destroy both of those teams. Atlanta will not win the division. Mark it down.

xan 11-12-2010 08:39 AM

The FAILcans wouldn't have won if the refs would have had their glasses on.

Frankly I think the shoddy officiating showed more. A questionable fingertip catch, but let's give them that one.

Gonzales deliberately caused the PI call that gave them a first down. It was a terrible call.

White pushed his defender town on the TD pass. It was clear, and it was clear in real time too. The officials blew that call.

I'll never really hold it against a team when they are 'lucky'. In many regards you create your own luck. Still, I'm not prepared to give Atlanta much credit for that win last night. That was more about the Ravens not playing well and the officials effing up at every opportunity.

I feel ya - but when can you count on officiating to win a game for you? Ravens tried to throw too often instead of pounding Rice (which worked).

We got lucky last season too. And unlucky this season...

Regardless, I feel like the Saints are clicking and primed to make a run.

RaginCajun83 11-12-2010 01:09 PM

No matter what they do, they will always be the FAILcons

SaintPauly 11-12-2010 03:00 PM

I have to admit, that the Atlanta favoritism is getting WAY out of control. No rings on his fingers, and Matt Ryan is the best Qb in the league? I'm not buying it. That drive should have ended on that bs pass interference call last night. The refs drove them down the field, NOT the team, and NOT Matt Ryan. Call it what you want, but that was just pathetic. Luck? It's real easy to get lucky, when the guys with the flags keep giving you more chances. There was a drive in the Cincy game, against Pitt, on Monday night, that was the same way. I don't care WHAT they are trying to do with parody, and keeping games close, and blah, blah, blah.... If they dont' get their crap together soon, I'm going to start fishing on sunday. If I want "controlled luck", I will watch Monday Night RAw, not Monday night football.

Danno 11-12-2010 04:39 PM

I know its IF's and BUT's but just think...if Hartley makes a glorified extra point, and Roddy White doesn't get away with a blatant push off, and Nate Clements simply runs OB on his pick...

Saints 7-2
Falcons 4-5

SAINT_MICHAEL 11-12-2010 05:24 PM

Here's a scenario to ponder. Now before everyone starts the one-game-at-a-time rant, this is speculation from a fan, not attitude of the players on the team. But I wouldn't be surprised if Atl and the Saints are both favored in every game they play for the rest of the season (except for our heads up match of course, which I expect Atl to have the nod due to HFA). So IF we win that game and IF both teams win the rest of their other games, we will both be 13-3 with the same division and conference records having beat each other once. I haven't googled the tie breakers, but at that point I believe it comes down to strength of schedule. Having the Cowboys and Vikings suck may just end up biting us in the rear!

Common opponents, which they'd win because of our loss to Cleveland and Arizona, who they beat.

I don't give a rat's ass how successful they are (or how everyone THINKS they are) they are nowhere NEAR the best team in the NFC. Just because they have the best record as of now means NOTHING. The win against us was on a technicality. Baltimore looked tired last night, the Bills could have beaten them. (Come to think of it, they almost did a few weeks back.)

I wouldn't trade 40 years of Saints bad luck and losses for one season of Falcons success.

LOL we all hate em but you gotta give em props for AT LEAST not being the team on the other side making all the mistakes to put them out of the game..
Saints was that team last year not making mistakes they were disciplined last year, this year saints have the most penalties and TO's i've seen in a VERY long time.. This is like watching a re-run of Aaron Brooks years here.. Although statistically were better than a lot of teams in the league we just kick our own ass a lot of the time.. people blame injuries but we haven't yet been dominated, the games we've lost we lost the TO's war and the Penalty battle..
Atlanta has that penalty bug nipped in the butt so far this season, i don't know if thats enough to boost them as a SB contender but it's enough to get to the playoffs.

Any given Sunday, my friends

"You'd like to". then why cant we. Is it because the (outstretched) yet uncalled push off arm of Roddy White lead them to another bulls*%# win. I guess the saying holds true. If you want something done right......

SaintPauly 11-14-2010 05:22 AM

I will be the first to give credit, where it is due. I'm talking as a football fan right now, NOT a Saints fan. Say what you want about our season last year, but I don't remember us getting handed a touchdown, in any of our games last year. A few questionable calls here and there, but the game winning drive? Three calls, that basically gave them the seven? I'm not buying into this load of horse sh*&.
