The two words in bold type are the operative words in this statement. Even before the dog scandal, Vick was a RB in a QB's body. He's always had a cannon for an arm, but he never had the head to match it.....until this year. He finally harnessed all of his talent and is having the best year of his career. It doesn't hurt that he has some nice talent at the skill positions surrounding him, but he has learned what to do with all their talent and his own. Can he keep up this pace the rest of the season? The Magic 8 Ball says "Outlook looks good". Will he be able to keep it up next season? That remains to be seen. This year, however, he's top "dog". :p

As for Vick, he sure looks great this season, but we still have HALF the season left to play.

HMMM I dunno about that. The Rams went 2-10 with Has at interim coach and I remember they lost 10 in a row, some of the loses were major blowout drubbings.

You think they Rams should have kept him as HC? I think as an interim coach you have to pull at least a close to .500 record to be considered for hire.

I think to get two wins out of that team was great coaching. The only player on that team worth anything was Stephen Jackson.I don't think Bill Walsh,Vince Lombardi,Jimmy Johnson,Sean Peyton,or any other coach could have gotten more than two wins out of that team.

He should not be in the NFL. He should have not been allowed back.
Playing football for a living , THE FEW YEARS ONE CAN DO SO is not a right, but a PRIVILEGE.

We'll we are a country that forgives after they serve their time for their wrong "OR theoretically forgive" for that matter sometimes people pick who they want to forgive for certain things..
The man's done his time, he's given public service as ordered by the courts, paid his due's, unless you want to have him hung for his crimes i think once he's done all he's had to do for his crimes he should be free to once again use his craft, if a company be it "NFL, Construction yard, Walmart etc" wants to hire him to help themselves better their own franchise, business or corporation they have the right hire and pay him for his services they think he's worth and he has the right to earn it.

No one was required to hire Vick, they came to him because they saw some use left in him, we gotta have that in mind when we think he's getting off easy.

Well said. A buddy and I were discussing Michael Vick last night, and we came to a conclusion. The majority of sports fans have a short-term memory about a player's wrongdoings after a couple of years, especially when they have incredible seasons on the field or court. Ray Lewis, Kobe Bryant, Pete Rose, just to name a few. Winning or sympathy seem to give people a slight case of amnesia. It's not that we completely forget what they did in their past, but for many of us, it sure isn't the first thing we think of in the present.

I'm not one to jump on a bandwagon.

How many Super Bowl rings does Vick have?

Slow down folks, would be my suggestion. If Vick pulls off what Marino did, get back to us.

The Jets, Packers, and Titans, defensively, all ranked in the top 15 against the pass defensively. What do these teams have to do with Vick? They are 3 of the 4 teams he struggled against, and lost too. Now, look at the defensive ranks, of the teams that he has played well against... We already know that Washington, was ranked 31st, going into monday nights game. Indy's secondary, is a patchwork of journeyman DBs, and he didn't really light it up on them either. Is he playing good ball, based on the level of the defenses he's gone up against? Yes, he is. But MVP's do this against the top defenses as well. I have seen nothing that Vick has done, to make me think he's any better, than he was in his prime, in Atlanta. To make this post as specific as I can, am I scared of Vick against our number one ranked pass defense? Not in the least.

DOPE! I read that wrong or NFl.com had it backwards....

That page issue you posted is because moderators remove posts but they stay in the thread where we can not see them...

I used to love these forums but as of late (past few weeks) the moderators are getting heavy handed and removing posts and entire threads... This is a bit much for me.

There were pages about PT that are now gone.
